Geez, Sam - you’re always showing me stuff I don’t need but want! I just took over my 20-yo daughter’s old bedroom with a whole dual-light setup with overhead rigging and everything. I’ve gotta say, the wobbling can be an issue with desk-based rigs, so I’ve opted for a whole separate room with everything mounted on the floor. Great video, as always! 👍🦘🇦🇺

@@SamHolland thank you for your response. Much appreciated 🙏. I was also leaning towards Godox SL60 as it is affordable, but I am presuming this stand won’t be strong enough along with the softbox? ML60 is a bit pricey it seems but I may consider it if it is more suitable for the stand.

My pleasure! 🙏🏻 no, the SL60 will be too heavy for the stand but you could maybe have a light stand behind the desk if you have room? If not, the ML60 is your best bet or one of the panel lights. Hope this helps 👌🏻🎥

The only thing with this is sometimes the camera wobbles (as you may be able to see in this video) so I recommend having that on a separate tripod… could defeat the whole purpose 😬 Haha not far off… Nottinghamshire 💪🏻🤩 UK northern crew 🇬🇧🥳

Having an APS-C camera (Canon M-50) I haven't found a desk mount arm long enough to display myself and my table using a 17mm focal length (mind the crop). I guess I need a wider lens 🤷‍♀️ A tripod works for now. 🙃

Very cool Sam! I had a nice but elaborate setup with my EOS R inside a teleprompter connected as a second screen to my Mac Mini, and all my lights around my desk where I had my rodecaster pro and atem mini pro iso, but I‘m moving for work, so I‘ve had to break everything down again! 😞 Maybe this Ulanzi solution or something like it will be a nice way of doing something quick and practical. Thanks for the review bro!

Do you use the canon R6 as your daily camera? And any major reasons for that if yes? I have watched some of your comparison videos which are awesome but currently trying to decide between the R6 and the new Sony A7iv for mainly video purposes. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also would love to see a comparison on your channel for those cameras catered towards video!! Thanks 🙏

Hi Brandon. Yeh I use the R6 for most things. I just love how easy it is to use. Easy to set up. Perfect autofocus when I need it for vlogs etc. And it just works. And it looks nice. BUT recently I’ve been given this to test and I love it for my “cinematic” type stuff. It just looks so professional and it’s the best camera I’ve ever used for the look in my opinion kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYiUcomBo7mqaac Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for watching. To be honest, I’m not really fussed on the image quality of the Sony especially compared to the Lumix. But Sony has a lot of features. 🎥🙏🏻

Yeh it’s bad isn’t it 😬 honestly I think a lot of the wobble comes down to the desk and the fact it’s on carpet. If you have a more sturdy desk then it won’t wobble as much 🎥

Just be aware that this setup is very shakey and wobbly….pay attention to his video. It’s bouncing up and down like crazy. Lol
