Radiance will always be one of my favourites. I'm about to reread it! I love that it could have easily been enemies to lovers but she didn't fall into that. So good!!

I never would have put Slewfoot in the romance genre but now that YOU say it, I can totally see it! Slewfoot is one of my all time favorite books of all time.

TOTALLY get the "I normally don't like cowboys" thing. I live in the area where that series is set and every year when they decend upon us for the rodeo I'm like "OK time to not leave my house for 2 weeks." But in Elsie Silver books? Yeehaw babeeee ( same goes for hockey romances)

Adding some of these to my TBR! Also, not a book recommendation 😅 but omg if you like the Veronica Speedwell novels, I think you'd really like watching the show Miss Scarlet and the Duke. It's set in Victorian England and Miss Eliza Scarlet is a private detective trying to make it in a man's world, and William "The Duke" Wellington is her childhood friend/sometimes rival, who is a Detective Inspector at Scotland Yard, and oh my lord...their clashes, the banter, the tension between them, the denial of feelings, the slow burn, it's so freaking delicious - there's no other way to describe it. PLUS, the mysteries and adventures they go on together are so fun! Highly recommend!

I'm curious to see which books I've read or are on my tbr all because of you hahaha. I always call you the queen of romance. Whenever I wanted to read a book because you mentioned them & loved them, I absolutely ended up adoring them as well. *The ones I've read because of you (and absolutely loved/adored) are:* - Radiance - Still Beating - This Is How You Lose A Time War *The ones I've added to my tbr because of you are:* - Sea of Ruin - Flawless - Heartless - You, Again - Act Your Age, Eve Brown - Slewfoot Also I totally just didn't go to goodreads to like that infamous review as well😂😂

love how I know them all and have either on my physical tbr or on my wishlist. I guess I gotta make a Riley book buying spree. I trust you blindly by now. If you would only say "read it" I would, no explenation needed. (was kinda the thing with Project Hail Mary lol and for The Artful Dodger I only heard "my little feet went bc its soo CUTE" and I was like "okay, convinced" and yes, both of them consumed my lifel)
