this is so great! i love the visual, but don't be afraid to unhaul the books you HATE. i would be getting rid of that 1 star so fast lol! Super glad you loved Strange the Dreamer. The sequel is really good and even though they are YA, I feel like the themes explored are more mature than a lot of other YA fantasy. I, too, am excited for what Laini Taylor writes next.

At the start of the year, I’ve been using a random number generator each month to add 5 random books from my shelf to my TBR and if I don’t get to it that month, then I have to unhaul it. That, along with adding a lot of books that I want to read from my shelves onto my TBR regularly has gotten me down from 197 books on my unread shelves to 133 books now in June. A lot of the books I’ve been picking randomly, I’ve realized that I don’t really want to read anymore, so I’ll give them a few chapters and then DNF them. But I have found some super good books from my shelf so far this year as well.

Sarah Hogle is so much fun. You Deserve Each Other has such funny pranks (and they're actual pranks, no social media 'pranks'). If you want cute and sappy try the Christmas romance romance she wrote: Just Like Magic. It feels Halmark Christmas romance with some sprinkling of magic. And it might have some home decoration in it. ;) I wasn't a fan of her newest book (Old Flames and New ...). didn't finish it. It almost doesn't pas the Bagdel test, which is weird considering the lead's shop is in financial trouble. She just dreams way too much about kids, and I felt like the romantic chemistry was non-existent and the physical stuff felt insanely forced. That's just my opinion, of course, but I've seen worse reviews for that book. Also the hint of magic that's supposed to be present in her flower arrangements? Didn't feel it. And I know Sarah Hogle can write it in a way I love, because I got it in the Christmas book.
