The Lovelight series by B.K. Borison. They’re all cozy, small town romances with a lot of character development. They’re also basically friends to lovers. Only Bad Options by Jennifer Estep - it’s sci-fi romance, but with fantasy elements and a ton of world building. The FMC is super smart and a total bada$$. It’s also enemies to lovers, and sort of road trip but on a spaceship I feel like you might also like Darkest Heart by Juliette Cross. It’s post-apocalyptic road trip and the MCs are an angel and a demon. The MMC is absolutely obsessed with the FMC. Like he literally doesn’t think he’s good enough for her, but he’s so into her that he can’t pass up the opportunity to be with her

I subscribed right away when i realized we have the same type in romance books. I love love BRIDE and All Rhodes

Recommendations: Burn For Me - Ilona Andrews: Not a road trip but the two main characters have to work together and must travel around an urban fantasy Houston, Texas together despite the MMC making an awful first impression. Choosing Theo - Victoria Aveline: the iceplanet barbarians premise but the alien planet is technologically advanced. The Saint of Steel series - T. Kingfisher: Set in the same universe as Swordheart has a few cross-over characters. Interconnected standalones. I've loved some of these more than Swordheart. Brothers Sinister Series - Courtney Milan: Historical fiction romance series (I think the prequel was my favourite overall).

i have many recs hehe 1. you should absolutely read the sequel to a heart of blood and ashes because it's infinitely better than book 1 (friends to enemies to strangers to lovers but he's never stopped loving her) 2. and also read the sequel to lady of rooksgrave manor because there is way more plot and it's also way better than book 1!!! 3. i definitely think you would love pack darling, especially the heroine and for some new omegaverse content hehe

On the same Page by Haley Cass is a sapphic best friends to lovers romance with a reformed mean girl. It‘s my favourite f/f romance and I have been shoving it down everyone‘s throats 😂

For regency romances you should read The Belles Of London Series by Mimi Mathews and The Regency Vows series by Martha Waters. Your top tiered books are going in my TBr. I agree with your opinions of all the books I’ve read.❤

When You Least Expect It by Haley Cass. It's sapphic, slow burn, and acquaintances to friends to lovers with slightly older heroines. One is a divorce lawyer for the other one who is divorcing her jerk husband. All of Cass' books are on KU and a lot of the audios are also on Hoopla. There's also a companion novella from the other heroine's perspective if you love the main book.

For a book with small town vibes with a cozy fantasy and a touch of Omegaverse I highly recommend A Wolf in the Garden by Allegra Hall - it’s one of my 5 stars reads of the year and has become an all time favourite

Since you like Elsie Silver I recommend Lyla Sage. For a unique historical romance, The Wolf and the Wildflower by Stacy Reid. For a sapphic romance, How You Get the Girl by Anita Kelly. For a friends to lovers, single dads, mm romance, You & Me by Tal Bauer. I also think you'd like Give Me Butterflies by Jillian Meadows because you like Chloe Liese.

Would highly recommend Under Darkened Skies by H E Bauman! It's a romantic fantasy that's cozy but turns darker, has friends to lovers, amazingly developed characters (both main and side) and world, and also some road tripping (more like traveling lol). The FMC is also autism coded and has anxiety (there's great rep overall in the whole series).

Riley If you love road trip romance novels and you liked the charm offensive you should totally read Here We Go Again which is also by Alison Cochrun. You will laugh and you will cry and it is so far the best contemporary sapphic romance book I've ever read. Also I noticed you seem to really like books where you truly get to know the characters beyond just the relationship itself and with that honestly just read any Kennedy Ryan.

I would totally go to jail for Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend as well!!!! And I’m gonna recommend Cash Delgado Is Living the Dream. It’s lesbian small town best friends to lovers and the sexuality discovery + queer community aspects of it were sooo good.

I totally get the “isn’t good but is addicting” thing. For me it’s the Beautiful Creatures series. It was objectively not great and I gave each book 3 stars and yet I keep rereading them 😅 I feel like that series was the Twilight for the witch girlies

If you liked Swordheart you might like other books by T. Kingfisher, they often have nice romance with a bit of fantasy and very light horror. I didn't like "A heart of Blood and ashes" either.

Gwen And Art Are Not In Love!!! It's YA, but definitely older YA, with both romcom vibes and good exploration of queer identity and struggles! Synopsis from goodreads: It’s been hundreds of years since King Arthur’s reign. His descendant, Arthur, a future Lord and general gadabout, has been betrothed to Gwendoline, the quick-witted, short-tempered princess of England, since birth. The only thing they can agree on is that they despise each other. They’re forced to spend the summer together at Camelot in the run-up to their nuptials, and within 24 hours, Gwen has discovered Arthur kissing a boy, and Arthur has gone digging for Gwen's childhood diary and found confessions about her crush on the kingdom's only lady knight, Bridget Leclair. Realizing they might make better allies than enemies, Gwen and Art make a reluctant pact to cover for each other, and as things heat up at the annual royal tournament, Gwen is swept off her feet by her knight, and Arthur takes an interest in Gwen's royal brother. Lex Croucher's Gwen & Art Are Not in Love is chock full of sword-fighting, found family, and romantic shenanigans destined to make readers fall in love.
