@@DingDingTheKZbinBuddy makes sense. In HS I made a pot that I can't even look at because of the emotion I put into it. It was about 2 or 3 glazes, I let it dry, then I used my tool to put multiple 'cuts' into it if you know what I mean. I've been trying to get my room clean and painted for like 4 years now and I honestly think I created my own demon in my home because that's how strong my emotions were. 🙃 oh well, enough sad sad today. I love drawing angst pieces, ripped flags, Xs, blood dripping from the mouth, skulls, dark themes, etc. My emotions when drawing though are typically calmer unless I get frustrated with my quality of work. It’s the characters I create behind the pieces that make art true to me. Agreeably, But emotions are unbearable, portraying them in art puts out something really raw and true.

I am glad this video is back. I have to say, Dark's picture is legitimately one of the most impactful pieces of art I have ever seen. It's like infinite layers of light and darkness and this face protruding through them all. It's really scary, especially when you know it's not a fiction, but something personal, a self image. Or maybe the Dark just drew it to freak you out when you saw it, though you seem very calm about it. I actually grabbed a screenshot of it and put into my screensaver folder, and every time it has rotated in for the last couple of years I just stop what I am doing and stare at it for minutes at a time. It is amazing how something so painful can also be so beautiful. At least to me.

@@raechel381 Firstly, I have absolutely no possible line of communication with the alter that created the original image. Secondly, it's just personal use of a screengrab of my monitor. An image that existed publicly. I am not trying to republish it, share it or pass it of as my own. It basically only exists as my own extended memory. And a good thing that I did save that memory for myself, since the video went down and until a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be my only way of ever seeing it again. Thirdly, taking a moral high ground where no moral conflict exists beforehand is just virtue signalling. You are the one inventing that conflict.

What’s interesting as a photographer is that darks drawing has very similar composition to the photo called “Afghan Girl” that appeared on the cover of National Geographic. The face structure is very similar and the striking eyes as well. I’ve been comparing them for awhile and the longer I do the more similarities I see

Maybe this was Darks way of introducing himself to us without having to physically speak on a video since he knows the system is not comfortable with that. Dark really seemed to enjoy drawing alot. It may have been an outlet for him, like therapy, music, or yoga is an outlet for others. I loved this idea of all of the drawings and I hope we get to see more videos of some more alters drawing themselves as well. Hope the system is doing well and I am happy to see more and more videos back to where they should be! I'm so proud of you for standing up for yourselves and not letting someone else take credit for something they didn't do. Some people just aren't very good people and I am sorry you all have to go through this but it makes me smile when I see every old video re-uploaded.

I’m very new to this channel, and I’m not the smartest with DID .. but I wanted to say something that I’ve personally noticed just by watching.. No one’s switched out with dark for the longest time. You all are allowing him his moment to sketch how he feels, how he shows himself, and it’s really sweet that you all allowed him to have a moment to express how he see’s and how he feel’s for the longest while.. @@mariotheundying one body but basically multiple people in the brain ((correct me if im wrong anyone)) not all of them share memories. this channel still might have the basic videos with basic information but certain roles that alters have lets them/others have certain memories. ((for example, kya, the new host, said that when nin integrated or fused with the primary protector kyle, nin/kya discovered memories that only kyle had)) they cant see the same thing at the same time unless they're all co-con ((which nin, the old host, has described it as being in the passenger seat)) hopefully some of this made sense!! i'd be glad to answer some questions to the best of my abilities if you werent able to find the videos. DID is very complex so it can be hard to describe at first to other people

It's interesting watching this since my own system revealed itself, one of my alters Forest actually appears similar to dark. They're slightly more feminine and they have a glowing halo around them, much like Nin in this video, I don't have much more than an outline. I’ve always explained my drastic mood changes as being different people. Watching the way Dark is drawn resonates really weirdly...Like i can relate to it. i’m not diagnosed with DID and nor do i claim to have it but it just..feels odd that i can feel that side of me relating to it. like, visually, it’s not really corporal. It’s just black. but there is still a human shape visible, just barely. it’s really hard to describe, and it’s making me tense up thinking about it. like, the broken lines are attached to the human form, showing how it breaks away into this ..fog. that’s how it feels for me. And I CANNOT BELIEVE how interesting it is to see the easiness in some alters' sketching style. The way conor and dark are doing their line work have way more confidence than Nin's for example. I do not have DID, but Dark looks so similar to My Love, it's frightening. I have been longing to feel My Love again, so I am so grateful that I found this channel to get a sense of him, even if it's not actually him. Thankfully My Love has forgone hurting me and now just comforts me, and I hope that Dark might do the same in the future (though I hardly know anything about you). Forgive me if I'm overstepping, I'm just very grateful and had to say something.

Darks portrayal of itself is so interesting, because even though he seems inhuman (from her description) he wants to express himself just like the others. If not conventionally, definitely emotionally. The work starts of with the face the last alter drew - suggesting that the alter itself doesn’t really have a strong connection to its human image. This is also shown through all the changes made when trying to make the face fit. This goes on until there is barely any face left, just dark. The slow erasure of what is human is chilling but strangely beautiful.
