Please be careful and selective on what mods you are doing to your AMG. I have a 2019 AMG GLC 63 and melted a hole in the #4 cylinder piston. I was devastated/frankly still am devastated. Mods included: Eurocharged stage 2 tune and deleted cats, that is it. I run 93 octane with Lucas oil 104 octane boost, did not matter. My GLC had 17,000 miles on it at the time and the mods were done at about the 12, 000 mile mark. I did not have any check engine lights or anything, even after the cylinder was essentially dead. My point is, I am not rich by any means and this rebuild is north of $65000 to rebuild, of course I am going forged internals and full renntech stage-1 set-up. You might ask, why so much cost, well the cylinders have a special coating on them and the #4 got scored, so it has to be sleeved. Can't just sleeve one cylinder, has to be all 8. I do not want to see anyone else go through this because that is a lot of money for the average Joe to spend on smiles per hour, lol. Once again, just be careful on the mods you are doing and be very selective on the companies that you choose to use. Unfortunately this GLC will go to the grave with me because I will never re-coop what I am spending on it. It was a tough decision to proceed with the re-build but it sounds oohh soo GGOODD!! BTW owned a 2017 ZO6 before this and the GLC is much more practical and actually more fun to drive....
