I really don't understand the negativity in some of these comments. No country is perfect and obviously neither is the Philippines - if you're paying a decent amount for a home, you obviously wanna make sure it's homey and it works for you. And we all have to admit our problem with time. There is another side to the story but definitely to be committed to a certain date and only be told 2 days prior that it won't be ready can be frustrating for anyone! This is a HOME we're talking about! 😬 Anyway, when you get back to BGC you can try Amano in One Bonifacio Mall, their pizzas are really good too! I'm sure you'll find the right home for you. And looking forward to the province/island videos! 🌴

You were on point about the Airbnb situation. Seems that the majority of Airbnb owners are taking the opportunity to make as much money as possible. As someone has suggested why not check out Greenfield District or Capitol Commons at Ortigas for condos to rent? The prices are a bit lower than BGC. Also it is situated in the heart of Metro Manila and a short ride to other upcoming redevelopments like Bridgetown and Greenhills.

Hey Zane, in case youre still interested in renting in BGC, my family has a 1BR unit in Uptown (not Park suites though) that might be vacant by end of December/early January since were not sure if our current tenant is renewing. We can do a 6-month lease and it's under your budget :) its furnished but nothing fancy.

Just a warning, DO NOT ever rent an Airbnb or rental unit at an SMDC owned building. They might have tight security but its way overboard. I will say they are not Airbnb friendly. They scrutinize and very strict with Airbnb users but they are so lenient with delivery and courier people. Again, no SMDC rentals

It’s Filipino time in the Philippines 😂 I don’t like it but what can I do I live in the 🇵🇭. Dolce Amore Resort n Restaurant has 5 ⭐️ review on their pizza. It’s an authentic Italian restaurant with only 2 locations, one in Cebu and the other in Siquijor. People are saying they serve the best pizza in SE Asia.

I'm sure it's a nice place, but to be honest, I'm getting a bit bored of endless references to "BGC" and constant vlogs of tall buildings, shopping malls and fast food chains/restaurants. Your channel has a great deal of potential; I like your vlogging style; but it's getting very predictable and a bit boring. It would be nice to learn about the real Philippines, and not just the parts that remind you of home. Hopefully your upcoming vlogs will help us non-locals achieve that, as well as broadening your travel experiences. Get your head out of the US, you're living through an opportunity that most can only ever dream of!

@leeedwards2659 I agree that if he's not a clubber, we're unlikely to experience the nightlife through his eyes in the places he visits. That's his choice. But in my humble opinion, he has the opportunity to sell the places he visits to the travellers of the world. He has an easy vlogging style, and seems like a nice bloke. I think his channel could really take off if he stepped out of his comfort zone and showed us places that don't look like the US (most of us already know what that looks like, even if it's somewhere you've never actually been!). Personally I found this channel because I was planning a trip to Bangkok, and I stuck around because I enjoyed the channel, even if there was a big focus on Bangkok's malls! But if he's going to win over the crowd who watch for research purposes (and I think he could do that), he needs to get more adventurous.

His vlogs need to start lets say get a bit more diverse a bit more cultural. Please, beware of eating bivalves such as oysters or mussels in the Philippines. I got a week-long stomachache from eating oysters and eating mussels on two separate in the the Philippines. My Fil-Am family friend nearly died from eating oysters in the Philippines. Now, I only eat canned oysters in season from the West Coast of the USA.
