Can you talk a little bit about your thinking regarding potentially trying to go SF? Process, requirements, why you are considering, etc
@brendan53525 жыл бұрын
Hmmm maybe, I'll probably only make a video about the process/requirements if I successfully go through it myself. But I can talk a little about the reasons why I'm considering it

Welcome back, sir. I’m currently a MS3 in ROTC and I’m trying to decide between Armor and FA. What are some of the reasons you enjoy your branch?
@brendan53525 жыл бұрын
FA is awesome because it is so multifaceted. In FA you can get a wide variety of experiences as the brains (fire direction center, calculating where to shoot rounds), brawn (gun line, shooting the rounds), or eyes (fire support, coordinating and calling in artillery/airpower). In infantry or armor, you basically are a platoon leader in the thick of it or you're on staff away from it. In FA you can be in the FDC, PL of a gun line or the FSO and have an impact on the battle

When you said staying in dropping a packet. What type of packet is that. Happy Veteran’s Day to you.

If I drop a packet it would be for SFAS

I am applying for a green to gold scholarship, and I want to transition from active duty to guard. You might not know much about being a guard officer, but how would my experience differ from yours and what do you suggest when transitioning from enlisted to officer?
@brendan53524 жыл бұрын
Good question, while I've never been in the Guard a lot fo my ROTC friends did go Guard. From hearing their stories the Guard and Active Duty sound pretty different in that they don't see their people very often and they're always trying to compete with other requirements (an example being mandatory classes like SHARP/EO/etc). That being said if/when they get activated it seems pretty similar to Active Duty. I was never enlisted but from what I've seen there's a lot to keep in mind when you transition from enlisted to officer. Biggest ones of the top of my head are as an Officer almost nothing should be a success because of YOU it should be because of the TEAM and you need to put your peoples' needs above your own (example - leaders eat last). Hope that helps
Hello LT Brendan did you go enlisted before transitioning to OCS? I'm 31 and I'm going enlisted with a college degree but my hope is to apply for OCS after I serve for about a year. I was short on my GT score but cuz age is not on my side, I decided to join enlisted and later go officer route. 42A is my mos but I will love to branch into AG as an officer. What are my chances of getting the chance to go OCS?

pope benson with a low GT score, literally zero. Get that score up, be good at PT, and get good letters of recommendation

It would have been better to possibly wait and go the officer route straight. You may not be able to go later depending if your command doesn't let you go. You may be able to so it just depends.
I meet someone on website and said his a U.S. military Based in Egypt. and maybe in 10 months we been talk in chat I think it just one time that i saw him through video since the internet was so weak. And it is true, inside the Military federation won't allowed for make a video? Then I asked him to visit here at Philippines and then he said I have to write a letter and send it to their commander thru e-mail and I have to pay for his vacation. But he says he'll pay me back after he gets the allowance because he can't get it without any sign. I'm just really confused Sir Since we been talking for about 10 months I was totally full in love with him. Hehehe I'm sorry Sir if I had many questions and for sharing my some story. I just wanna know about the rules of US military.

Do not pay for someone to come see you. They just do not want to pay and are using you.
