Many parallels with mine Andrew. Dividing my time up between some teaching work, a bit of physio, I'm 70 with a few old injuries haunting me, personal interests, domestic chores and quality time with my 16 year old black and white foxy who bears an uncanny resemblance to Dougal with flecks and spots but a little more black on him like Ted. He gets a run on the beach most days or up the river and along bush tracks. He pesters me if he thinks he might miss out. ( he never does.) The Outer Hebrides looks like a great place to live. Keep well.

Thank you Andrew for making such a high quality and life affirming vlog. Came across this by pure accident and so glad I watched it. You have two amazing, healthy and happy dogs there, my own 6 year old Jack Russell (Harry) actually sat on my knee and watched it, we watch one video together a day, he kept looking at me, I know what he was thinking, 'that look's lovely....let's go!' Always intended to come up to Scotland for a few weeks when I retire (I work from home). I just want somewhere, perhaps a little cottage, where there will be plenty of chance to just walk, walk and walk.

Wonderful video! Love how the pups have such a supportive and loving home! Dougel (sp? ) looks as if he has much energy now and moves great! And Ted is really growing up and maturing! My blue healer suffered an intentional neurotoxin exposure, so her capacity to move was reduced. But she is slowly recovering. I tried many things but diet has made the most difference! I love diet as medicine! You have found a good place to thrive! Best to all of you including the sweet guardians (dogs) which travel your path with you!

Forgot to mention- one very helpful addition to my pubs healing diet and my own, has been making a special wheatgrass juice. You can grow the wheatgrass in the kitchen. it’s beautiful. Then clip 2/3 cup, but in blender with 1/2 apple, and cover 2/3 with natural spring water. Blend, and push through a tea strainer to a tract the juice. I add some organic chicken or miso broth for my pup. And a tsp of organic coconut oil. She loves it. And it restores the mitochondria. So it is amazing. Energy abounds! For myself, I leave out the broth, and add a squeeze of lemon. tastes wonderful!

Another superb relaxing video. It looks very isolated where you are and I'm sure the weather can be a lot worse than on the day you filmed. My wife and I have a static caravan in Cornwall as well as the Motorhome, since my early retirement I enjoy an equally relaxed lifestyle. I also have my three year old Labrador who I have been training as a working dog, not that we ever do any, but it does mean that I get much needed exercise and spend most days either on the coastal path or in the Cotswolds. The EV6 I ordered back in early February should be here in quarter 4, 2023 but I have asked for delivery in quarter 1/2024. Keep up the good work

I have had no alarm for years now. I cannot take the seeds you use - anaphylaxis! Found that out by accident, twice being sent as emergency to hospital - full paramedic, first responder, 10 leads attached stuff! Now I have to check everything I eat & have epipens to carry with me. Nice to sleep & rise in your own natural rhythm. Good to see the dogs running on the beach. Are they not supposed to wear a collar with contact details? At about 10:45 it looks like you have 4 separate drives, I assume for additional storage. Have you considered a NAS? They give you wired or wireless network access to all the data, with redundancy. I use a 5 bay Synology with 4 functional drives and one spare (which I’ve not needed yet), yielding a 43TB redundant storage. Loose a drive, no data lost.
@andrewjditton Жыл бұрын
Yes they are, but I archive everything twice in case of failure (which one of these has). I have no idea what you are talking about after the first sentence Erin! ;@)
@Erin-Thor Жыл бұрын
@@andrewjditton - LOL! NAS = Network Attached Storage. It is a series of raid drives with software to streamline and make maintenance, redundancy, and data integrity. They are a simple, cost effective way to store data. Your drives are either mirrored (writes to both simultaneously) or you do that manually. Let’s assume each of your drives are 4 TB, so mirrored two drives are still just 4 TB, the other pair also the same would equal 8 TB, but you’re using 16 GB of drives. With a NAS, you only lose 1 drives capacity, so your total storage would jump from 8 to 12 TB. Lose a drive, pop a new one in (assuming you don’t have a hot spare) and it automatically rebuilds the data. They are relatively cheap, I bought mine for $300 USD used. And put in 5 12 TB drives, one is a hot spare, the other 4 provide under 48 TB of space, which I split between my systems (less the drives system files)
