D series for stock si single cam VTEC good motor and GReddy turbo is a nice addition but not too fast otherwise. I have a 92 si and couldn't get the motor (on three parts) out of the high 15's. (B16 now and its fun best ET 14.16) turbo gets you in the solid 14's and can run on stock internals (with intercooler/fuel pump upgrade/ECU tune). That set up surprised me when I saw it.

I thought you had a Civic. I would definitely look into doing an ls, b20, or b18c block. You have a heavier car. Not a problem. Don't listen to to what some people have to say. I have done lots of research about that stuff. You want more displacement

I wouldn't be too sure...the Firebird had a V6 variant...something like 200 hp and weighed as much as the Queen Victoria. You'd be able to tell in daylight if there were two exhaust tips (one of the few external differences), but it's too dark to tell here.

B18 (IMO) is the better motor for turbo. It has a longer piton stroke then the B16. And its, simply, more cc's. B16 has a cool head (some say better) and it takes the ITR intake manifold (which is cool if you want a tweaked OEM honda frankenstein (LS/VTEC).

I had a sleeper cutlass olds with a worked 350 with machine shop worked pistons, headers, dual exhaust, edelbrock carb, and some others mods. It wasnt too fast cuz it was a 4 door but it was ok. if your gunna get a v-8 I would suggest a 350 or a 305 or 302 because you can find parts really easy and there cheap Im working on a 350 right now im totally rebuilding it from the block I havent found a car to put it in tho. goodluck

Nice hatch man. Give you props for hitting 13.6 at the track w/ stock internals too? But i'll never go itr, gotta cousin with an ls/vtec build b16 pistons, b16 tranny no LSD, couple bolt-ons and chip ecu, stock internals and he already hitting 13.5 best time with slicks at the track.

@choyleefutkid1 A stock big block will run 13's with cheap gas and no mods thats in a 5 or 6000 pound car try to get a lighter frame car thats why camaro's and mustangs are so popular because there lighter... chargers and older muscle were so heavy... plymouth dusters were very popular because they were lighter and you can put a big block engine in the car with out cutting or fabracating the body any...

no it isn't bad. you will have higher compression because you have smaller compression chambers than the b16 head thus giving you a little more power and you probably have the gsr cams that add a hair more power too

The EG must be very light because as far as I know the highest stock HP the B16 puts out is 180-185.

B16 is nice. My friend got an Acura 1.6L swap to SiR b16 175hp, and he have been able to finish 2nd on a circuit... but doesn't worth an Honda prelude H22 vtech :P
