You should give the "NZXT bar" thing in this case a quick & dirty gloss black coating, would really add some subtle detail to the interior given the matte black finish it has stock. You could do this by cleaning it up and giving it a couple coats of gloss clear coat, but I'd suggest lightly scuffing it(a softer Scotch-Brite pad), cleaning it up with a prep spray and lint free towels/rags, then shooting it with a gloss black enamel. I think that would be a "can't go wrong" improvement to this case, not a bright color that steals your attention, just a subtle enamel gloss to make it more visually appealing without over doing it. Of course, this would provide the opportunity to make other changes as well, paint other parts, even just throw a stencil on a side panel, how about using automotive stick-on insulation to make a cheap case quieter - this stuff is EASY, cheap, and doesn't even require any more tools than it takes to assemble a PC, some people really make this out to be a 'drastic' amount of work, but it really doesn't have to be more than a couple of hours of your labor at the most, with some drying time. To put it another way, if you've ever worked an actual job before, then you're over qualified for cleaning, prepping, planning, taping off/stenciling, and rattle canning your way to a case that is EXACTLY what you would like it to look like. You don't even have to have any airbrush ability - we aren't painting murals on the sides of 1970s custom vans here...

Even most professional users don't need full ATX size, though it might be safer to stick with ATX if you plan on using the computer for serious professional computing, as you might actually want to use multiple PCI-E cards at some point if you're doing heavy professional stuff.

PCPARTPICKER website was a huge help in price comparisons with different vendors. We are in Canada and it even works here with Canadian suppliers. (My only protip: if you build your system outside the case, as many recommend just to test all the components, none of the videos told us how to actually turn the system on when you get everything installed on the motherboard. Turning on the power supply is not enough you have to short out the Power pins on the motherboard with a paperclip or screwdriver). Believe me when I says this: if *I* can buy the pieces and put it together and have it work....then anyone can do it. Have fun and good luck.

Before you complain about the case and the CPU watch the video and read the description. Paul explicitly points out the 3600 is better value in the video. I assume the case and 3600x were just parts he had available (or is sponsored by). Personally not a fan of the H500 case, choking the front fans seems like a bad decision? Also (at least in the UK) DDR4-3600 is kinda expensive, maybe DDR4-3200 is better value? I've heard contradictory advice on how much performance benefit there is. I'd think about upgrading the SSD to 1TB, the 1TB drives are typically faster I believe? GPU is difficult, depends on what you want to do and local prices. In the UK the 1660ti and Vega 56 are around the 250 mark. While the 2060 and RX 5700 are a bit over 300. Vega 56 seems like good value to me, but it might not have the power for what you want (or it might have way more of course). Seems like a bad time to get the RX 5700 too, might be worth waiting for an aftermarket version? Not sure how long that might be.

I think everyone should thank AMD (regardless of how much some of you may love Intel) for what they've done for prices in recent years, especially with the launch of the Ryzen 3000 series of CPUs. Love this build, I'm kind of an NZXT fanboy.... By that I mean I'm actually a HUGE NZXT fanboy! I just pre-ordered my H510i case, and I've got my 3700X and Crosshair VIII motherboard right here, waiting for their new home. The ONLY reason I didn't go with the H510 Elite is the fact that NZXT do not offer RGB static pressure fans for their AIO coolers. Meaning, if you plan on cooling with a Kraken X62 or the 240mm variant, you won't be able to show off your RGB fans in the front. So, unless you buy static pressure RGB fans from another company, the front of your H510 Elite is going to look pretty boring. I wish NZXT would offer an RGB version of the Kraken X62 specifically for this reason. I would've gone with the Elite if they did.

Glad I didn't get impatient and build a Zen+ system, these 3rd gen chips are inSANEly good. Good luck man, I hope your chip comes in soon. Most mainstream monitoring software shows inaccurate readings for temps, voltages etc. AMD's Ryzen Master software is the only tool that shows the real time accurate results. If you have a case with that new USB 3.1-style plug, and a motherboard that only has the older 3.0 socket, there are adapters you can buy. I just ran into this problem last week with a new Ryzen 3 build. I found this item on Amazon: "Cablecc USB 3.1 Front Panel Header to USB 3.0 20Pin Header Extension Cable 20cm for ASUS Motherboard", which is a tiny PCB with sockets for both connectors. The one thing you need to make sure is that the angle works out for you. This one worked fine for me plugged into the 3.0 motherboard header that was next to the 24-pin ATX socket--the USB 3.1 socket faces forward in the case. On the other hand, if you have a 3.0 header that is on the bottom edge of your motherboard, this will face down, and you may not have enough room for your cable to fit. There are other products that face the opposite direction; make sure you get one that meets your needs. Also, I found that the cable from the case will fit into the adapter either way, but it only works in one orientation; in the other, my motherboard says it detects a short and refuses to boot. I don't know if that's a defect of the adapter or something else. (When I plug a USB-C phone into the port, it works fine.)

Zerogenome Go for a 2070 Super. On the EVGA website they’re like $500 and they have better performance than the 1080ti, which can still cost $450+, and you also get raytracing, it might not be the best card for raytracing, but hey, it’s still there available for you to use on the games that support it at anytime. You might even be able to find regular 2070s on the EVGA website or others, as when the SUPER cards came out the 2070 dropped down around $400-$440, I guess they were trying to get rid of their stocks for the 2070 and 2060 to replace them with the SUPER cards.

To people having problems with Ryzen 3000 and the B450 Tomahawk. Updating the BIOS is really easy with the tomahawk. Download the BIOS onto a flash drive and then put the actual BIOS file into the root of the drive. Rename it to MSI.ROM. On your Mobo IO there is a USB type A port labeled with BIOS Flashback + or something like that. It has white around it on the IO shield. Put your flash drive into there then press the little button right above it. Wait five seconds and a light should to starting flashing near the little button, your PC may boot as well. When the light stops flashing, your BIOS is updated.
