Although I was never particularly good at basketball, my initial interest started probably when I was a little kid. When my brother played NBA Live on the GameCube and before the game started all of the NBA teams would be on display, I was always fond of the Bucks logo...the dark green and purple looked really cool, so from that point on, my team was the Milwaukee Bucks. I never really watched them, but I always kept my eye on the Bucks news and stuff and looking at CBS sports a lot, but in my freshman year of college back when the 2016-17 season started, that’s when my interest in basketball as a whole started to form. What made me more engaged this particular season more than ever was I, just like others, just wanted to see the Warriors lose. I knew they were too damn good to lose, but I always end up watching with a hint of hope that it does, and that’s what kept me engaged with those awfully broken NBA seasons. That’s kind of a side rant, but back to my point haha. I really liked to look at the box scores a lot in my free time and from there it grew into me watching more teams and from there the rest was history

I grew up in Southern California during the 80s and was completely enamored with Magic Johnson and showtime. Played varsity as a sophomore and junior as the backup point guard... but the problem for me became that I ended up throwing the discus at college. Wrong body type! By senior year of high school, I had literally outgrown basketball and just wasn’t as effective. Still love the game and love this channel!

It's amazing how deep basketball talent is in America. I was the same way where I was the kid always at the playground courts, shooting in my driveway, basketball was so much a part of my life. But still even though I could hold my own in pick up games, and even dominate from time to time, I didn't have a snowball's chance in hell at making my high school team. There were guys who were fifty times better than me who tried out every year and missed the cut.

For me, it was mainly my dad and LeBron. My dad watched it quite a bit in the early 2000s and early 2010s. So during the 2012 season, I became a casual fan. Then in the 2018-19 season I became a hardcore fan.

Oh for real??? Me too man. I hooped until I finished college on a scholarship offered by a catholic institution here in the Philippines. I used my skill to simply finish education, get a degree and a job. It was also timely since my eyes were like heavily having problems with nearsightedness so I decided to eventually coach a women's basketball team, we got thru the regional competitions here in the Philippines. I also have plans to pursue KZbin, planning to produce basketball related contents myself. Hoping it'll be realized one day. Thanks for sharing your story, Tucker!

Started playing in my school, I was 11. Wasn't that good, but was very hard working. Medium height, by my state standards (here in Brazil they joke that we are all short n with big heads in Ceará), was a good defender, solid on offense but wasn't very agressive. Was selected to my state team (kinda like a national team, but each state has their own) to play on the national under-15 tournament, second division. I was the last one chosen, many people thought (and still think) it was a fluke. We had 5 games and then semi finals and finals, 1 game each. We were champions, undefeated, I averaged 1 ppg n about 5 mpg but I don't care I was so freaking proud of myself, no one believed I would make the cut and I did. To this day, my team is the only champion in our state history. Even though in my last year of high school I got fat and stopped playing, I still love basketball. Right now, I am 21 years old and cutting weight so I can play again. Tired of living in the past, I wanna to feel like a champion again and compete at the university level. I'll do my best be back on the court this time next year. Nothing would make me happier than playing again.

Played up to JV. Varsity recruited players who were wayyy better and more developed than I could’ve been at that point in my life. Then I went to college and got mad that I couldn’t be productive in pick-up games so I started shooting as much as I could. 100 made-threes became my go-to practice routine. 2010 or 2011 I started getting into basketball. I was in 5th or 6th grade. I think it was probably 5th grade because I remember playing shooting knockout during gym class and coming dead last lol. My dad is a Knicks fan and a NY sports fan in general. He watches the Knicks, the Jets, and the Mets, but his favorite sport is basketball. He played on his school basketball teams through middle school and made varsity, but didn’t make D1 ball. He always went to smaller private schools though. 2012 I tryout for my 7th grade middle school team. I didn’t have my physical, and I also didn’t make the team. I never tried out again, and I didn’t hit puberty until my freshman year when I grew to 6’0. I’ve been following the NBA ever since.

Really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing. Going to say somethings about the New York Knicks even though this video is not about that so please bear with me. Maybe it could be the subject of 1 of your videos. Do Mike Brown assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors as the Knicks New Head Coach introduce Golden State Warriors' offensive and defensive strategies . Amongst coaches with a winning record above 500 he is ranked 8th all-time. Crazy right? He has won Coach of the Year. He has won 65 games in a regular season. he has coached in the NBA FINALS as a Head Coach twice once in his second season with Cleveland Cavaliers and once as a replacement for his HEAD COACH as the lead assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors because of a back problems and health issues. He was undefeated throughout all of the Playoffs including the 2 games he coached in the Finals against his old protege LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Who else has a resume like this? Plus he has been an understudy to Steve Kerr who is arguably the best coach in the NBA for the last few years . He has been understudy to Greg Popovich , while also coaching the Spurs G League teams during his time there. Assistant coached in NBA FINALS CHAMPIONSHIPS there too. If it was not for Malice in the Palace he would have probably assistant coached in another NBA FINALS with Indiana Pacers that year. He is the one who went up in the stands and calmed down Metta World Peace and brought back to the sidelines. 5 years in the NBA Finals Championship round and winning 3 times is the proof in the pudding. Not to mention single handedly changing the way the game is played from the 3 point line. NBA is right now actually considering adding a 4 point line because of Steve Kerr's beautiful offense and defense. And to think he was this close to being the Knicks New Head Coach under Phil Jackson was right. We can make it up with MIKE BROWN who is hands down the best candidate to be the Knicks New Head Coach . If they hire anyone else they have toask themselves if their priority is winning multiple championships in the middle to late 2020's. That's the GOAL. Knicks 2020's NBA Finals Championships dynasty team or BUST.Thanks for this channel and your efforts to provide quality information and insight even if we don't always agree ( though I saw whenyou suggested that the Hawks should trade for Ben Simmons 🤗) . This is a channel that I really appreciate. Keep GOING, remember the goal of being a healthy spry 125 years old surrounded by freinds and family who have also escaped the symptoms of aging as well. Aging is a DISEASE. It is not inevitable. Be an avid Anti-Aging proponent. Live long and prosper. Sincerely Rakhunuhepp
