i think uwc, like all things in life, is what you make of it, how you approach it. sure there are things that aren't perfect, but if your mindset is to make the most of the opportunities at hand, i think it's well worth it. i wouldn't trade my uwc experience for anything! every challenge has been an opportunity i've learned so much from. it's hard to describe what it's like. my advice is not to take anyone else's personal opinion about it, and make it for yourself. try it out, and if you go in wanting to make the most of it, i can guarantee it will be life changing. uwc is such a wonderful supportive community, even once you graduate. alone, you learn so much from the international student body. most people that come to uwc stay, even if they weren't sure about it at first. and if you do end up leaving and decide it's not for you, (at least in uwccr) you'll still be loved and understood by your classmates. so try it, apply! don't let anyone else shape your opinion on something you have yet to experience :)
