Is your Becker nevus raise or hairy by any chance? Also I think it look cool with those tattoos you show.

Hey do you know if it safe to get a tattoo over it ? And does tattoo make it darker?
@codeblue00763 ай бұрын
I have seen many instances of people tattooing over a non-raised nevus (as opposed to a raised mole or birthmark). Since most beckers nevus are light brown color that means red, blue green or black will work the best or any color for dark skin basically. The downside is that any changes in the birthmark would be hard to see after tattooing. That is why a dermatologist may advise a person prone to skin cancer not to tattoo, because they can not visually inspect the area for changes or other moles appearing inside the beckers nevus. I don't think the tattoo ink would increase the risk for malignancy. Of course, a medical professional could give you that answer.

@@codeblue0076 but it usually safe for Becker nevus right since Becker nevus isn’t cancerous?And mine has been the same for a long time.
@codeblue00763 ай бұрын
@@akaza3524 yes it would be safe just harder to visually catch any changes of the birthmark.

Does yours have hair by any chance? I have one too but with no hair. I still haven’t gone to a dermatologist so I don’t know if it is a Becker nevus or another type of birthmark

@@yo2241 yes mine has darker hair in some areas but not that noticeable!

@@codeblue0076 also is there a reason why your birthmark become a bit darker after a laser procedure? Has your dermatologist ever told you why? Because I’ve seen some before and after photos of Becker nevus and they turn out great. So I was wondering if there a reason why behind it
@codeblue00764 ай бұрын
@@yo2241 I'm not sure! Most lasers make it look worse before it heals either way. I'm sure it depends on the type of laser and the laser settings. Once mine was healed after one session It didn't look that different but I definitely was not lighter, just a little darker unfortunately. so i didn't want to invest more time or money into it.

@@codeblue0076 also last question. Do you think it easier to remove it or lighten it up if it doesn’t have hair? Or should I ask my dermatologist that question. Just want your opinion on it. And thank you 🙏

@@yo2241 I don't think hair would make a difference! I paid $50 for a spot test for an area of about 1x1 centimeters
