I would love to see a more in-depth video of the whole washing process, especially of the crystals you found Dan. I think that once the viewers get to see more of the finished work there might be an increase in sales for Avant Mining.

Oxalic acid solution and soaking for several days with minimal scrubbing and most of the iron colored staining and clay is gone leaving a pure white cluster and matrix.

Agreed. A Geologist might understand but to me it was just a bunch of muddy rocks. Hardly exciting.

I have a feeling a lot of those plates fell apart. The crystals where falling out everywhere
@chehystpewpur4754 Жыл бұрын
he showed you the depth of the process. you spray the water and it cleans them. u can scrub but risk damage. as for what they look like go to the link he gave you and look. pretty easy if you ask me. the increase of sales you claim. comes from people viewing their page like he set it up for. this man is very good at his job please dont tell him how to do his job.

@@Danhurd I'm sorry for being rude Dan. I think you enjoy the hunt more than the value of your finds. I've detected for 45 years and have found many valuable finds. It's the small unusual things that make the hobby fun. Not the monetary value. You are an inspiration for me with your zeal for the hunt and recovery. Thank you for being you.

Wish that the shipping was not so expensive. If it was cheaper I already buy some from the website. But I hope over 3 years I can buy one from you in person, I'm planning a trip to the USA and Canada.

about 25 years ago, was at the -other- mine in the area, on the "tailings" dig. My dig buddy and I found a huge cluster, it was about as long as a coffee table, about half as wide as one, weight was hundreds of pounds. ( In fact, it flattened a fully aired up new wheelbarrow tire so heavy.) ... of course it was vey clay ridden/muddy , so we didn't -exactly- know what we were looking at, but obviously had points all over it. Most were fist sized or bigger , and i believe the three longest were chipped or broke off at that time. We knew it somehow had -slipped- past the regular mine cultivation , and was a good find. But, the mine/crystal shop folks there, told us while it was nice, was "worthless" , offered to buy it from us for 18 dollars USD. Believe it or not, we -barely- got it in the "trunk" of my Girl friends '76 VW beetle. Took it home , and for weeks we soaked, scrubbed, picked clay out the huge cluster. When all said and done, we had three big clear points, fist sized, about 15-20 milky but equal sized, and of course the three broken points, that probably were twice as big as the others, and millions of micros composing the base. We eventually got some help, sat it on a standard coffee table, it practically covered from long end to end. Never knew its estimated -real- value. My buddy wound up keeping it as a centerpiece ( that, and it was just to heavy to realistically move around.), but he was quite a bit older than me at the time, i went off to do life , and he had passed away in my absence. I went to his place , that basically had mostly just fallen down, and of course that big cluster wasn't there, but the table still was. Someone at some point, nabbed it. I'm sure back then, it had to been worth hundreds or even thousand dollars, maybe more. I wish the shop woulda been straight up with us , offered at least half value ... it's actual worth , is one of those things, that'll forever be a mystery to me.
