Note: The oil reservoir was nearly full when I tried to add more. It actually holds quite a bit.

I have a 009 that I bought for a dollar because the handle was broken off. I fabricated a handle and now it's my favourite saw

Best saw I've used. Very easy to handle with plenty of power. No wonder it's still very popular.

Nice find Rob, can't go wrong at that price, cheaper than the cost of a new chain!

I saw a McCullogh electrical saw in aktion almost 30 years ago. It impressed on me. I've got a 4" and a 6" battery powered saw and they perform really well.

I just purchased an electric chain saw on a pole for trimming my trees and shrubs. It's been terrific. I'm now considering an electric chain saw to supplement my Stihl gas chain saw.

Electric works well. Clean, less weight, no starting or fuel issues, not as much noise and low maintenance. What's not to like ? Corded or cordless really comes down to power and price. I've looked at hedge trimmers on a pole (similar to your chainsaw) but the weight put me off. The saw version would be a lot better, as the weight is on the bar a lot more. Cheers Rob

@@Xynudu What led me to choose a corded version was that most of my trimming is within reach of an outside outlet at my home or use of a portable electric generator and I didn't want to go down the rabbit trail of another battery platform. The saw on the end of the pole is actually quite light.

Good logical decisions. The two pole type hedge trimmers I looked at were quite heavy to hold and swing about. Quite a bit of leverage working against the operator. Interesting power tools though.

For many years I had a B & D battery chain saw, it worked really well but it finally wore out and the cost and limited availability of parts made it un repairable, so now I have the Ozzio pretty much like the one you have, it seems to be quite a good saw. David

Mine has plenty of power and works well. It's a good saw in my estimation.

You really want to go cordless these days. I got myself a Makita Duc353, it uses two regular 18V cordless drill batteries for 36V total, which means it really has sufficient power and you have those batteries anyway for your drill. Also you can power the DUB363 leaf sucker with the same batteries, and that thing is the awesomest invention since sliced bread if you have a largish yard with some trees on it. And my neighbours haven't even noticed I had those devices for three months now because they are so quiet and there is no smelly exhaust.

Cordless is OK, but expensive. $20 is more my type of price for something I would only use occasionally. Cheers Rob

I was given one of these. It was being thrown away, I think because the oiler wasn't working. Turns out there was a nearly-invisible wood splinter stuck between the spring-loaded ball bearing and the seat of the non-return valve. It's a ripper of a saw. Be careful not to break the oil bottle, especially if you open up the case for any reason. It's very thin plastic and the connections to the oil tubes are flimsy.

Thanks for the heads up Leon. It certainly cuts well. Cheers Rob

I wouldn't be surprised if you "came across" the subaru and picked it up for a few dollars Rob. You either live in an area where stuff is junked easily or you have an amazing eye.
