About the "one video per area" thing: After Greenpath, things really open up and you're hopping through areas rather quickly, finding new upgrades in one area so you can get a thing in another area that allows you to further explore the first area. Also, some areas are smaller and less content-packed than others. I'd say just play until you reach a break point, like beating a boss or finding a new area.

If you went to Grubfather before saving any grubs, he'd be crying. Just saying, you will eventually get a map pin for Grubs. It's not sold by Iselda though. I'll be honest, I don't like spells that much. They do get really strong eventually, but I'd still rather heal. But, well, you decide whenever to use them or not. This game is a metroidvania. So it doesn't have "chapters", you'll have to revisit several areas after getting new abilities. Shades that spawn when you die... There can only be one at a time. If you die while a shade is already out there, then the geo that shade had is gone for good. Just saying it right away, Stalwart Shell is the worst charm. It's barely useful, costs 2 notches which is just too much, and replying on its effect is a bad idea. I'd say 1 video = 1 area, but honestly do it like you want to do it. Have fun with Greenpath!

Don't look at the game's sections like chapters. Metroidvanias are built around backtracking. You'll be weaving in and out of different sections of the game farther in. Also, keep the episodes quite long. This is an absolutely massive game. If you want to keep going, the series won't be over any time soon. Lastly, dying spawns "shade". Dying before killing your shade will make you lose all your geo. Careful of that.

More Hollow Knight? Best day this week. Editing as I watch. Yeah, glowing light usually = enterable passageway. Most hidden passages are found by going to unintentional areas, areas usually covered by a “travel” door/passage (like the well), visual/audio cues or breaking weird walls. There are cases where there are no cues at all, though. By the way, you can down-slash on side spikes the same way you can do it on ground spikes and enemies. You just need to be next to them if your slash is big enough, instead of trying to go on top of the side spikes. (in all honesty, I didn't realize that down-slashing was a thing until 1/4 of the way through the game lol) You can shoot Vengeful Spirit in the air, just not up or down. Just so you know, the game autosaves progress at every moment. The benches are just respawn mechanics, not save mechanics. If you die twice before killing your sort of "shadow", it would reappear for your most recent death, and you lose any Geo you had on the first death. The other Grub you saved was in the background D: A video per area would take a LONG time. Some areas only take about half an hour to explore, others several hours. I'd prefer just an hour video of a general "let's play" instead of sectioning it off as per area.

-You need an item (tram pass) to access the train the other item (city crest) is used to access a new area later -collecting grubs can reward you with items like more heart containers (mask shards) or other items to upgrade your nail (pale ore) -ranced eggs are used to get back your geo and soul when you die (you can only use it by giving it to certain NPC)

I recommend using WASD keys for movement and right shift for a normal attack, its way more comfortable than the arrow keys, also the spells should be near the WASD keys (for e.g: E for the vengeful spirit and so on), and the movement abilities near right shift (hopefully this is helpful)

Also, all of the places you said you need double jump, you can get with a dash, because double jump is much later in the game and dash is in greenpath. If you find the note and don't have a map for the location yet, it will be available to buy in dirtmouth from Iselda. 12:36 - here's a useful trick. if you attack up (like I said, your nail attacks slightly to the sides, too) you don't get knockbacked. This can come in handy sometimes. 36:32 - Yeah, it would have told you if you could have done anything. The city crest is a confusing item at the beginning of the game 38:12 - Heh heh. Yeah, this game isn't easy. It just has a simple beginning to introduce you to the mechanics and to the world 42:16 - ...Vengeful Spirit ;) 44:45 - remember to check on Elderbug regularly! A lot of people forget to do it and he has really interesting dialogues in my opinion! :D There are also other stuff I could tell ya, but it could be considered spoiler, so I won't 46:23 - Gathering Swarm is a GREAT charm. One of the best charms in the game in my opinion. I'd suggest buying it. It saves a lot of geo that fall into the spikes etc. You'll always want to have more geo until you get very far into the game (although you still don't really need to farm much even without this charm), but you'll get geo at an incredible pace with it. 50:08 - You can't use the Rancid Egg just yet. But remember about it, it will be useful. I guess it'd be two videos per area. The areas are pretty long... so is the game itself... I can't wait 'till you reach further parts of the game!

Merg, it's okay to use your soul, you don't have to always go back up in order to heal (with the bench) without using your soul, you can fill the limit of your soul capacity really easily and fast ALSO, you can bounce off the spikes just like how you bounce off of enemies.

Nice episode again merg! About the one vid per area, it might be kinda impossible, since the places you go don't strictly have any order. Also, you won't be able to visit the whole area immediately, but you'll see. Practicing pogo (the hitting downwards) is very useful, you can go to areas you probably couldn't. Also, you need to get used to healing on the road with soul instead of looking for benches. Soul can easily be replenished, but benches are quite rare.
