@@shrekiscool4743 not to say that your wrong (you are compleatly entitled to your own opinion) but I think i would say its only slightly good in this fight, and anywhere else there isn't really a use. I heard its good for markoth in guide vids but not sure. However i think if they reduced the cost of notches to 1 I could see it being op for projectile enemy's. But right now just use fragile/unbreakable strength, shamen stone or quick slash if you have an extra 3 notches to spare. Again not trying to say this opinion is wrong. also open to discusion

370 views, 3 dislikes?! Wow, so many haters... Once you get Dream Nail, every enemy has a 1% chance to drop essence. Even bosses, I got 1 essence from bosses like 3 times. Glowing Womb is one of the 2 charms I would consider very questionable, the other being Joni's Blessing. If you plan to use Glowing Womb, you better have a good and quick source of soul. Also they deal same damage as Sharpened Nail (9). The smell Divine is looking for is... Fragile. So glad I am not the only one who struggled sooo much with Soul Warrior 2 ;) Dude... You fought Soul Tyrant WAAAY too early. All dream boss rematches are supposed to be done in near endgame, when you have all movement upgrades and a lot of optional upgrades. The fact you eMERGed victorious is honestly surprising... Yes you are supposed to be in Crystalised Mound. In fact, you came late. Totally understandable that you weren't in the mood though. All people in Spirits' Glade are backer characters. Have fun talking to everyone!

Every first attempt for every player I've seen ends in seconds because of the double damage and speed. Soul tyrant is hard, but more of an endurance test then anything else.

Merg, we need to talk. Did you just destroy Soul Tyrant with nail 1, seven masks and one additional SOUL vessel? And did you do it on your fourth attempt, even without Quick Focus or using any spells (but that one misfired Shade Soul)? Seriously. This is a late game boss. Soul Tyrant has 1250 HP and your current nail does 9 damage. Same thing with Dreamshield, that does your nail's amount of damage. Please don't take this as critique, even if this sounds like it, but instead as a compliment. I am just... impressed...

Damn you're really good at this game for a blind play through. You and the shield make a great team. You did really well against the Soul Master considering you haven't got many nail upgrades. I would have recommended leaving the rematches til later (there aren't that many) but you sure can handle yourself!

you need the quick focus and deep focus it heals you twice with the speed of a normal heal

No. It does what you say, but remember that that combination requires 7 charm notches. While it might be viable if you have all 11 charm notches, it is out of discussion for Merg to use it. He needs the Wayward Compass for navigation, Gathering swarm to collect Geo, and if he continues with the Troupe's ritual, the Grimmchild. For the next episode, Merg would better go to the Nailsmith and get the channeled nail, then continue the ritual. He will get one more charm notch after he defeats the Master.

Why is it so hard for people to realize that healing in boss fights is nearly always a bad idea that purely wastes soul but gives you nothing in return unless you're 100% sure that you'll get no extra hit for that attempt to heal? Could've used to cast spell instead.

YES! I'm probably way too ecstatic that you've started the Ritual. What can I say? The Grimm Troupe is my favorite DLC for...many reasons. Here are a few tips (not all of which relate to the Troupe!): - This tip may not be relevant now, but it might be in the next episode: Don't ever attack Grimm while he's bowing. Not only is it rude, but it will also make your present situation more difficult. - I wouldn't recommend Dream Nailing any of the ghosts in the Spirits' Glade. As with all the others, it only gives you 1 Essence, but there's also...an additional reason not to. - Divine talks about smells...and charms. I seem to recall someone who sells charms, and also talks about smells a lot. However, his charms aren't exactly..indestructible. - Soul Master isn't the only boss with a dream version! Merg, amazing video as always. You dont know how much i freaked with happiness when i refereshed your channel and saw Hollow Knight lets play. Dream Wielder can be combined with Dreamshield! When used together, it makes the shield 15% larger and it will regenerate quicker, and the charm itself makes using dream nail in combat far more practical. Really nice job with Soul Master!!!! Keep in mind this - when you think you will 100% take damage, use the ground-pound (desolate dive) attack. You avoid the damage with s and deal really nice damage. See you soon!

How to get Oro: Get into King's Station and go to Kingdom's Edge. Then, you will never make it because the path is blocked by Great Hoppers and Primal Aspids. There you go.

That's actually quite incredible to beat the soul tyrant with the sharpened nail, he has 900hp so that's the equivalent of 100 nail hits, and that's just for the first phase so good job!
