Steelix is definitely slept on. But, I pay close attention to what the NPcs use in the RPG and it gives you an idea of what can actually perform well. And I build teams based on that. Steelix was used by Jasmine and the third elite 4 in Sinnoh.

@@bobvilla2508 That's exactly why I can win. No one expects it. You see the same 10 or 11 pokemon all the time. No one will ever be expecting someone like me who will play with more than just fanboy teams. It's basic tourney logic: everyone is using the same thing, so you build to beat the most used and most popular.

@@SSShadyLane…OR you look at what counters the top meta Mon and you build a team around what can counter the meta counters 🤔it’s the classic 2 steps ahead strategy, but my favorite is actually the trifecta of counterers and I build my team to hard counter the counters of the anti meta countering team 🧐….I think? … Ya see- it’s SO good that it even confuses me so surely no one’s gonna expect that! It’s so spicy and hard counters so many layers of counters that sometimes you finish building the squad and you realize everything came full circle and you just ended up running with meta Mon again

I have been using this team and i have been having some tough sets. But consistently going 3 for 5

3 for 5 is actually pretty good in GO though because it's actually designed to ensure your win rate remains at 50% (wins are always half of battles played) or 1 for 2.

I've recently encountered a lot of mud boys, grass types and Skarmory using flash cannon ever since I started running Carbink. I built up one just for it to feel useless now. I have a self imposed rule. I only ever use 1 meta pokemon... maybe 2 on rough days. running the same teams as everyone else is boring. I dont care about being a top tier player. I just wanna have fun. Mawile is still my favorite. And I cant wait for Tinkaton for the ultra league. Hopefully it has a decent move pool

It's not top tier but it will still get the job done. 5-15-15 is level 50. He probably didn't have/want to invest an extra ~100 XL candy for a minor stat boost.

These would have been good ivs before XL candy was introduced. Zyonik probably had this one built already and just made it mildly XL when that was introduced. Pvpoke says XL is recommended but not required.

@codyjacobs6899 it's probably an 80%+ percentile but you'd have to run it through pokegenie for an exact score. Should be fine unless you're pushing for Legend status+

Still don't have a fantastic IV one. This was my previous Medicham pre - level 50 - so it was easier to power it up a few times while I hunt for my ideally high ranked pvp IV. Plus it wins cmp

@@absolutelyp4225PVP is a luck based game not skills. Messi and Ronaldo skills you can’t beat them 1 vs 1 in soccor. Mike Tyson skills you can never beat him. Michael Jordan skills etc. Point is PVP only luck based game not skills like other sports.

@@jia2001 Pvp is not luck based. If it was, people would randomly hit legend every season and not be able to consistently hit legend season after season. I've been legend for over 10 seasons now, consistently. You're coping ridiculously hard. However, Zyonik is good but he's not as good as many other players. I don't think the guy has actually personally hit legend in so many seasons. Someone like ThoTechtical would beat you 1 vs 1 even if you RPS him. Some players are just that good. That's why you see the best players in Worlds consistently on top.

It’s part luck, part skill. Sometimes you get hard countered and there’s nothing anyone could do. Averaged out though the best players will win more than they lose.
