This is how horses are trained. RS is accepting his ears being touched. He enjoys it very much. Uniek is accepting her foal being touched and allows others in her stall. Uniek ascents touch all over her body and is not afraid. Training through love.

It is truly amazing, that Uniek, after knowing Yvonne for almost 16 years, is STILL protective of her colt!! Maybe she does have memories of having lost one...and became more vigilant a s aresult? Or maybe I imagine too much! ( whichever, but The Queen is forever a very good Mem!) Rising 🌟Star is one very lucky colt!...and will be a Yearling, in just 4 more months! Where did that time disappear to, whilst we were busily " falling in love" with the 2 most famous Friesians in modern history?? This has been such an adventure..and continuing.... Love it!! Uniek was so careful wit the girl. Standing completly still, not moving a muscel. Its like she was thinking a baby human must be careful. Moving slowly to be where she is. RS is just something special and the bond you have to. Love it!

One of my friends has a horse that is quite wild, she isn't very careful, and enthusiastic, but when my youngest daughter is near she is the sweetest, gentlest horse ever. I'm certain horses know when there's young around, and behave accordingly.

It is a beautiful thing when Rising Star, Yvonne and Uniek enter the mutual loving zone. This time Geertje and Faya so harmoniously joined in. The more I watched it, the more delighted I became. How often do different species communicate at that level. It's a special event. I think Yvonne is smitten with Rising Star. Her feelings just flow out of her heart. I was like that with my beautiful American Thoroughbred, South Spring; we just belonged together, and we spent 7 blissful years together. I was born revering horses and enjoying their company. When I saw a picture of this before, I thought Risey looked sad. But he's really just a big, sleepy baby! It's a completely different day from when Yvonne was on her knees with Uniek's foal Star while the rain poured on the roof. A bond you will have forever. This kind of trust is so beautiful. I had a three year old appaloosa gelding that would sometimes do this same thing. The first time I worried he was sick but it happened many more times between us and I came to realize just how relaxed and safe he felt. He would fall asleep and snore and I would laugh and pet him until my legs and fingers were getting numb from a horse in my lap! 💜

I have seen grown geldings laying down on their owner's lap 😊 I highly recommend checking out the equestrian Shelby Dennis, also on KZbin! Her horses even lay on eachother. She has a special little colt too, called Banksy. You'll love him too if you love Risey!

Its really cool getting to see Uniek's dapples. They're very lovely, and getting to get a good look at the muscles too. That was good. Rising getting his lap pillow. That is adorable and this became a hostage situation makes it all the cuter because he had you pinned. He didnt really start twitching till you played with his mouth. I think he was bullying RJ in that dream. Being one of the boys.

I am writing this on July 1st, not long after Yvonne’s accident…so many are praying for her recovery, and re-watching older videos-yes, to please KZbin’s algorithms and keep the channel going, but also for the comfort of seeing Yvonne happy, healthy, in her element. This one makes me cry, but also gives me joy to see how happy she was with Risey napping on her lap and trusting her completely-it must have been pure bliss for Yvonne! I hope and pray that her injuries will heal, and that she will remember this sweet day with her horses and her friends…may she return to her life, her beloved family, and to joyful, ordinary, and precious days.
