Ash has always been a good player, but I feel like she's really improved to an incredible level lately, and that's a showcase for it. The patience, thought, and attention throughout the game was incredible. Some of the other big MTG content creators have honestly regressed or seemingly lost interest in the game, but she's killing it.

Tribal refers to a deck with a specific kind of creature as its theme (Goblin tribal, Vampire tribal, etc) because of an old kind of card called a tribal card that was (as far as I can recall) an instant or sorcery that had the tribe's creature type as its tribal type. It got expanded in the community to basically mean "your deck is almost entirely this thing". Killspell tribal basically just refers to how prominent kill spells (Go for the Throat, Cut Down, Get Lost, etc) are in today's standard.

Sweet and super fun deck. I've been playing Fading Hope instead of Disruption Protocol and found this to work very well. The deck plays pretty aggro, so clearing out a blocker or saving a creature from a boardwipe to replay and crew the schooner, have been game winners.

love this deck, thanks a lot for coming up with it! I only had one copy of Sentinel of the Nameless City and barely enough wildcards for the lands so I swapped in one Akal Pakal and 2x Kitesail Larcenist in that 3 Drop Slot and they also work pretty well with the Deck. Especially the Larcenist, he's ben doing some heavy lifting by making treasures out of Oponnents Etalis and Sheoldreds xD

I built this deck and it SLAPS. I cant pilot nearly as good as Ashlizzlle does, but im still getting 65-70% win rate and thats REALLY good for me! My best brews get maybe 59% so its a huge step up. Tks! Well worth the rare slots. Im just not sure about disruption protocall. Its very rare that I have mana open with running so few lands.

Watching your video and others about this simic aggro deck, I wanted to try it. I am a fairly average magic player, usually in platinum or above. I am now in silver and I am 25% winrate with this deck. I mulligan 75% of my opening hands and my bad luck do the rest.

How much success can we attribute to this just being a good aggressive deck in a format where many people are experimenting? I was there watching it live, it was great fun, but does it boil down to "aggro deck beats untuned brews?"

Had a lot of other people get back to me that the deck performed similarly for them! The deck beats enough already known to be good brews like atraxa and esper.. We'll see if it holds up in the long run but for now it's great!

I have a question: Is there a reason to immediately eat with the first play with fire on the stack instead of waiting for the second one @5:56 ? You'd be at 1 and he has to decide where to point the second one. If he goes face, you eat the Sentinel and survive and you keep the Wurmlet which also gains life.

The reason you eat is because if you don't you go to 1 and the wirm only puts you at 2 next turn. So if they top deck a second shock you instantly lose. If you eat before the first there is no way for them to top deck an out since your already out of range

@@coffeedudeable It was opp's turn, he attacked and saw the second Play with fire from Feldon. If you didn't eat and got down to 1, you activate Cauldron on endstep and put a counter on Sentinel. You can eat at any time for the same effect and you maintained all your board presence.

Well that and also understand that everything she's up against is always the bullshit top tier garbage. Mono Red or whatever diarrhea compositional flavor of fucking Atraxa. This deck does have flexibility though. Learn to leverage your map tokens and what can be done to counter plays on the opponents turn
