Many great photos last year Meneer Van De Water, but the 3 made 'close to home' are tops for me. I'm undecided between the tree with the duck to the right & the two geese swimming for my favorite! Thank you for sharing.

Probably favourites change over time anyway, but at this point I would pick the "yellow house panorama" - but then I'm a panorama addict. So the blue hour tree panorama is also high on my list. Also the geese / sunrise shot is an absolute classic. And the cows. And, and, and... overall a great set of keepers. Thanks for all your efforts bringing us these great videos. For me what really stands out is your very unpretentious and approachable style and the excellent work you manage to produce within the constraints of day to day family life, and with equipment that is pretty much accessible to most of us (well except for that white lens :-) ). Best wishes for 2025 to you & your family, and I look forward to following along with your adventures!

Haha yeah I don't capture much panos but when I do they are always high on my score list also so I totally understand you! But I agree that things will change over time probably. I watched last years bestbof 2023 video before I recorded this one and I thought huh... was this in that list... but maybe I'm just getting more and more picky. Yes running a youtube channel next to family life is a challenge. Specialy at the moment where we have a couple of obligations as a family that prevent me from going out 3 days a week. So everythibg has to be recorded in those other 4 days. Uite tricky to make enough content. But I'm sure I will find a way. There are a lot of amazing images Guido 2024 was certainly a productive year for you. The moonbow is an amazing thing to see, never mind capture a great image of it. Can’t pick an outright winner although the technical aspects of the hi-res pano is a fantastic achievement. Hope 2025 is as productive for you. 👍

I have the same John I just can't pick a single one that is better then the others. If there was one that I would have hated to miss it would have been the swimmers on the boardwalk. But that's just because it has brought me a lot of media attention that hopefully will bring me forward in the future. Thanks for all your support I really appreciate it. Grt guido

Dit vind ik echt heel moeilijk! Ik had er over nagedacht maar ik kon echt niet kiezen. Ik denk dat er vaak een combi van het moment aan tepas komt. Zoals dat eiland in de sneeuw zo'n moment waar alles samenkomt. Of het kronkel weggetje in toscane. De zwemmers op de vlonder maar ook de minimalistisch takjes in het water. Nee ik kan niet kiezen heb niet 1 echte favoriet dit jaar 😅

Great vid Guido and I do like all your images and the one I like was the one who didnt make your cut, but its a great picture in the woods at 24:06. Also that one with the deer at the background 23:32...just amazing and those two pics are defo two of your best, but thats just my opinion ;)

Yeah those 2 were great. In that wood image I thought the runner was to small. It lacked a subject. The deer in the other one isn't 100 percent in focus. But like I said it was just marginal haha. Hoi Guido De getoonde foto’s zijn stuk voor stuk op de vogel foto’s na hele mooie opnamen. Je bent een hardcore landschap fotograaf, zie dat als een compliment. De Aziaten zijn grote liefhebbers van het MFT formaat, dus dat verklaart waarschijnlijk hun belangstelling voor jou kanaal en je tomeloze en creatieve inzet natuurlijk, want die is gewoon super.👍. En verder laat je niet opjagen door de You tube algoritmes, veeg je gat er maar mee af. De gezondheid van jou, je vrouw en je kinderen gaat ten alle tijden voor. En vooral Let goed op je zelf. Morten Hilmer een Deense wildlife fotograaf heeft over de 500. 000 volgers en presteert het om eens in de 2/ 3 maanden een video te produceren. Die steekt dus gewoon een middenvinger op naar de You Tube algoritmes , en gelijk heeft hij.

Dankjewel mooie woorden. Morten hilmer is wel echt een legend. Wat hij doet met wildlife is echt next level. In zijn begin dagen maakte hij wel meer videos en ook toen youtube nog veel beter bekeken werd. Vraag me af of nieuwe youtube fotografen dat ooit nog kunnen bereiken. Hoe dan ook bedankt voor het kijken en je leuke comment! Grt guido

Great images Guido, Have a great New Years!! BTW when using High res hand held are you supposed to wait till the green line finishes in the viewfinder before moving the camera? Because the images are not that sharp when I think they should be.

I think the camera is finished before the green line appears. If you take a very fast shutter speed then you hear the camera take multiple shots before the green line appears. But I think we try to use to long shutter speeds to fast. Remember that the camera takes multiple shots so multiply your shutter speed by 8x and you know how long it is and how much chance there is for vibrations. It's better to raise the iso for faster shutter speeds there isn't much noise in the high res images anyway. Thanks for watching and your kind words. Grt guido

@HotGates something like that. When the camera takes 8 shots for a high res then there is less chance of movement. That did the trick for me.

I have done several hi-res long exposure shots. If the long exposure is 30 sec, then I have to wait 8 x 30 sec = 4 min. It feels like forever ... I almost thought the camera had locked up. The green hi-res symbol seemed to stay on forever, but the camera did a great job. I use a 2 second delay when shooting to minimize vibration.
