Okay, if I was in OP's shoes, I'd be cutting off my father entirely. He knew that his daughter was a victim of rape, forced her to give birth to a rape baby, and then told the child years later that while her mother was forgiven for giving birth out of wedlock to a 'bastard' child, that she has to be extra good in order to be loved by God and to be allowed into Heaven on the event of her death. That is not okay and if I was OP, I'd call him out for what he said to my child. She's a good mother and I love how she chose to love her daughter unconditionally as opposed to hating her child for being a reminder of the worst trauma you can suffer through. She's the definition of strength.

Being called a child molester albeit truth or not, is like a death sentence to a man reputation in a society. I’ve probably told this story before but here goes. I had a best friend do something similar but lesser to me when I was in high school. (She didn’t believe me over my attacker and stayed friends with him after being my absolute best friend for years). One night our class Vice President dropped by my house without an invitation or a call beforehand. I hadn’t talked to him much in school so this was extremely out of the ordinary. My mom was out. I let him in and he seemed nervous. I didn’t want to be rude and I figured that he’d tell me why he was there once inside. He didn’t. I didn’t really know what to do so I awkwardly asked him if he’d like a drink or wanted to watch the movie I had been watching. He agreed. I sat on the seat cushion at the opposite end of the sofa from him. He scooted down one next to me. After a few minutes he tried to kiss me-just instantly without warning or invitation or encouragement. I pushed him back and he tried again. The second rejection angered him and he flipped out on me. He grabbed me and the fight was on. We rolled off the sofa and onto the floor which was hard tile. He began banging my head on the hard floor trying to subdue me and I really panicked then. I knew I was in even more trouble than I thought. I fought like a cornered animal then and managed to get a knee up between our bodies and shoved him off with it. I ran to the door and flung it open and told him to get out or I would scream down the block and neighbors would come running. He left. I called my friend crying, completely shocked and overwhelmed by what had just happened to me. She came right over. She pretended to be my friend and help me but I could tell by the look on her face that she doubted my story. Even with scratches on my elbow/arm and lumps on my head. She didn’t believe it of HIM. He was popular, a football player, smart/good grades/fine upstanding family and all that. Attractive. I was the girl from the wrong side of the tracks with a hot but stupid single mother with a bad reputation. I wasn’t like my mother and I’ve tried very hard not to be all of my life. Didn’t matter, I was guilty by association. I had upper class friends (just all around friends with everyone from any background) so I was friends with this girl from a better part of town but that certainly wasn’t why I hung out with her. We just got along really well and I thought we were the best of friends. This girl and that guy were from the same socioeconomic background and class, both had good homes and stable families. That was when I realized that she never considered me her equal-the same way she didn’t consider “him” to be on MY level. He was too good for me, in her mind, I guess. He couldn’t possibly be guilty of what I claimed. After that she distanced herself from me and the feeling was entirely mutual when I realized . After school was out she sent me a chain letter questionnaire by email (all the friend group saved each other’s email addresses) like they did back in the day and one question asked “if you were stuck in an elevator with the friend who sent this message, what would you do?” I only answered that one question and I said “if I was stuck in an elevator with this ex friend, I would climb the dam-walls and get out and risk falling to my death climbing an elevator shaft rather than spend one more minute of my time with YOU. Because death would be preferable to me.” I never got another email from her again 😂

@macylouwho11875 ай бұрын
@@toriladybird511 thank you, you are very kind. I’m not sure as I haven’t talked to either of them since that time, but I hope they are both better people who treat others with basic human respect and dignity. They were never God’s greatest gift like they both must have thought themselves to be, acting like that. It honestly confused me as to why she wanted to be my friend at all if she secretly felt that way about me. I can’t account for her behavior at all other than what I worked out for myself-if that is why. Nothing else makes sense, that’s the best I could figure from it all. The worst part for me was, in the end, that it made me think of my bio father’s mother. She had this happen to her in her forties but was murdered afterwards. I can’t imagine what she went through, the pain and fear must have been terrible. That small taste of much less that happened to me gave me trust issues and anxiety for years. She didn’t even get to escape with her life. Poor lady.
