The deal on the apples was insane! Convince food is nice because the kids get some independence and if the parents get sick the kids can make some tasty meals for themselves. Also, it is so much more affordable than eating out but you feel like you are eating out. It is nice you both take everyone’s likes into consideration when shopping. One of my family’s favorite things is the croissants they taste so good and they are $5.99 for a lot of them. 🙂

I think $600 at Costco for a family of five is pretty realistic. I always buy the packs of chicken and albacore tuna. Costco has great prices on a lot of things when you break it out by weight or number of servings.

I don't have a Costco currently. I do have a Sam's Club. When my kids lived with me, I would often go to Sam's. I don't go there often. I do, however, order things to ship. It seems to keep me from impulse spending. When I physically go shopping there, which I love, I end up buying new items to try out. There have been some things that ended up being horrible to me. The convenience items, I find Sam's to be the best place. They are usually portion control and individually wrapped. I was a stay at home mom and wife. It's exhausting at times, so grabbing something of convenience for your family is the best. Everyone needs a little downtime occasionally. Thanks for sharing your shopping with us. Kylan's (sp?) face over the baby bells lit up my night. Your boys are growing up so quickly and are handsome, kind, and loving. You and Dusty are doing an awesome job parenting. Cherish these special moments because in the blink of an eye, they will be adults. God Bless you and yours.

Think of it this way: you haven’t shopped since November so you’ve roughly spent $100 a month from November-April. Not bad! It’s easier for me to digest the large sum when I divide it up between my visits.

We go to Costco and to Sam’sas well, it is only the 2 of us now but none the less I find great deals at both places. We no longer have to budget and I can buy now whatever I want to which is a blessing but we did have to budged and being very frugal many moons ago when we were young and in the military for 21 years. Yes my hubby was what soldiers call a “Lifer” but it was worth it for my husband having served our country for that long even though the military does not pay very well, at least not when my husband was in it and military live is hard on a family because of all the separations. We lived from payday to payday back then in the beginning and ate lots of Spaghetti, Peanut butter Jelly sandwiches and Raman Soup from about the middle of the month on, waiting for the next payday to come around. But we had a blast and we got to see the world which is something we would have never been able to do on our own as civilians, we don’t regret any of it and would do it all over again in a heart beat! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have SEVERAL savings accounts with Capital One 360. You can have a maximum of 25 savings accounts. You setup your accounts on Capital One 360, then set up your automatic withdrawal within each account and mine pulls out of my regular checking account. One of my accounts happens to be Sam's Club. woohooo! You can name your accounts too, like car insurance, car maintenance, house taxes, house insurance, clothing, Sam's etc etc!! I LOVE IT! Anyway....have fun at Costco!

I go to Costco about every other month. It's just my husband and me. I get toilet paper and paper towels (usually only need 1 or the other at a given time). Coffee! Costco is tve best for coffee! Their French roast whole bean is under 5 bucks a pound! I get like 4, 2.5lb bags every time. We go through a pot of coffee a day. I get premier protein drinks. The caffe latte flavor is my work pick me up. (I'm a night shift nurse) . Takes the edge off hunger and a little caffeine kick. Dishwasher pods, laundry soap, paper plates, not every time, but when we get low. Various other things that catch our eye. Usually spend 150 to 200.

I live in Glasgow, Scotland, yes we do have a Costco but its not exactly local tome. My son and his wife go to Costco, so I get them to pick me up certain items. Brooke, I deal with depression on a daily basis. I also deal with a non curable disease that causes enhanced pain like on a 1-10 I am a 30. I have to laugh to things or I couldn't survive. My heart aches at the pain those comments caused you. Your right. No one has a right to tell you how to deal with your situation. How dare them. I for one try to see something to get me through the day. I love what you do, and also the reason I watch your cooking channel is because of who you are and how transparent and honest about depression and anxiety. I actually have a few choice words for those commenters, but I think the Christian in me wouldn't think highly of me. It made my heart ache to see you crying. I can tell you are good people and doing good things. Like you said if a person doesn't like something just scroll. People apparently have nothing better to do than be mean. Might as well pray for them. You are doing something for yourself and your community family and friends. ❤❤❤

Hi Brooke, I don't begrudge you shopping at Costco. You saved up for it and shopped smart and got some nice, well deserved treats. However, I don't like paying membership fees for the privilege of shopping at a store like Costco ( or Amazon or Sam's Club). With my very small family, I cannot shop bulk. Small home and no room to store the extra items and no one nearby to split an order. Still, the fresh fruit looked very good. Many times produce at Walmart is not very good at all. Btw: I am relatively new to your channel by six months or so and I really enjoy your videos and think that you have a great family too. I especially appreciated your family Easter video and message.

The thing I was offended by from Sam's club is that if the person who's name is on the card dies and the card is still active, the card is not valid anymore. The people that have access to the account cannot use the card anymore. Example, my mom had the card in her name but my sister and I were authorized users. The card was renewed in January, mom died in February. They didn't return the unused months but my sister and I were unable to use the card anymore. We tried to change the name, doing it the right way and sent death certificate. So I switched to Costco.
