I disagree with the Super Leaf being a bad item. As someone who grew up with this series, I’ve found multiple ways to use items instead of just using them for their main use, and that includes the Super Leaf. If there’s no-one around, I hit obstacles or items on the track out of the way if I can’t move out of the way in time. I also hit the crates on DS Airship Fortress to get a Mushroom from them. And this might be a flex, but I’ve already gotten good at using the Boomerang Flower defensively in 8 Deluxe. Double Dash was my practice with throwing things behind me to protect myself from Red Shells, lol. I do that with the Boomerang Flower, too. And that’s not the Mini Mushroom in Super Mario Kart, it’s the Poison Mushroom.

Well the super leaf u can deflect bomb explosion acting like a shield in a way

I mostly use super leaf to block reds to immediately get rid of the item if ur not using it the reds just make u lose ur tail that’s what most players use it for unless someone had triple reds then purposely slow down just to hit them to make them lose their triple reds for that and deflect bombs

Considering she was a Tour original and all. 😏 Jokes aside, for me personally, I would like to see the spin offs for main series characters represented. We already have a fair few characters from Donkey Kong Country, so I think Yoshi, Wario, and Luigi should have their spin offs represented as well. Part of it is because I hate the disconnect between Mario Spin Off Wario, WarioWare Wario and Wario Land Wario. It should all just count as Wario, in my eyes, so any Wario characters should be fair game. And part of it is because it would just give these rosters a lot more fun options to pull from. Like, Mainline Mario has a lot of options (and we’ll get back to that in a second), but the dev team would be able to be so much more creative if they can dip into the Luigi’s Mansion well, even if only briefly. But on the topic of “focus on Mainline Mario first, then add the spin off characters”, if we do that… we could very easily never NEED to dip into the spin off characters. Penguins, Wart, Piantas, Goombas, Whittles, Gearmos, Lumas, Nokis, the Broodals, Boom Boom and Pom Pom, Tosterenans, Cappy, Prince Florian, the Poplins, Ninji, Whomp, and Thwomp- that’s 21 characters we could use WELL before we decide now we can have any spin off characters as a treat, just off the top of my head. Like, realistically, aside from other Kongs and Poochy in Tour, the roster feels like one area Mario games are still sterilized and beholden to weird IP protection rules and mandates. So the more we can branch out, the better, in my eyes. Not to say I think this roster should put huge focus on these spin off characters, however. Like, look at DK for the best example of bringing in outside characters- he’s pretty much set if we do bring in Dixie Kong to a home console game. Cranky Kong or King K. Rool would be cool, but they’re not quite as necessary. For Luigi’s Mansion, you really only need to bring in E. Gadd and give King Boo his Luigi’s Mansion design as an alt. For Yoshi, just bring back Poochy and you have basically every major player from Yoshi’s games. And for Wario, I would personally add Captain Syrup from Wario Land and one, maybe two high profile Ware characters like Mona and Jimmy T. And for guest characters, I agree we should have a few, but I would personally focus on series that largely feel like they fit in the Mario universe. Captain Falcon’s been referenced in plenty of Mario games, Olimar would fit perfectly since Pikmin has as well, and Kirby would fit alongside the rest of the cast. And yeah, bring back ROB, he was always a fun inclusion in DS. Long ramblings aside, I just think having more of the extended Mario cast in would be a nice thing to make the characters tied to Mario that have their own casts feel more on the same level as Mario, rather than the filler in a Mario roster.

3:22 at that point we never get them sense there is a just so many mainline characters you will never not have enough. Which is why I think it is better to add a few mainline and a few side series characters so we can repsent the whole spectrem of mario. Sense do to how the series works even with a huge character roster you will never get everybody cause there is just so many.

What I want. Roster: everyone is here (in Mario kart) with clones turned to skins. For new characters, e gadd, Vivian, Gino, mallow, dixie. Also, I believe it would be cute to give everyone an optional racing suit Items: honestly. Keep it similar . Having a small roster of items is important as they are. Try to avoid making bagging soo essential. Karts: I would prefer if you just picked one kart rather than building your own. Just variety Gameplay, I would love if it just felt weightier for a lack of better words. I just wish it felt more like a rally game, and I think drift stacking Tracks. I believe 12 cups is the move. Preferably cups of 5 again. 100 tracks post dlc seems like it would such a cool milestone I am suprised nintendo didn’t just make one more cup to get 100 last time. It’s 4 am I have scattered thoughts I can improve this And I forgot. The ability to do last player standing balloon battle again, as well as a large scale battle royale would be very nice. (Idk I just love needless battle royales)

I think it's impossible to have Gino and Millow, unfortunately, because since they're Square Enix characters, I don't think Square Enix will accept Nintendo's use of their character! But it would be nice to have them, I'm not saying otherwise!

But it’s unlikely that Nintendo would make the fake item box broken as it was in mk64 u can block reds with it but I do see Nintendo making a fake item box look like an item box with the only downside not being too overpowered like mk64. But the blooper in 8 also effects traction but at for 8s and it barely effects the player depending on what combo they are using

2:28 I think we have enough mainline characters as is? 3 of the 4 characters you've mentioned have already been in a Mario kart and one of them has been dead since 2013(TTYD remake doesn't count). I really think we need more representation of the Mario franchise that at bare minimum debuted on the current console.

We they might just keep it because if glider do return then people won’t complain about getting targeted shocks unless Nintendo makes it which u respawn like DD,DS,Wii and 7 where u have a recovery boost and if they do go that route hopefully they make respawn more likely Mario kart 7 where respawn where slightly faster the Wii DS and double dash

My hopes is for the stupid baby characters to be cut, but with 24 player races that’s looking extremely unlikely Plus for single player I’d love the option to choose the AI Racers so if they must include baby characters at least I can never include them
