What type of antenna on the caddx vista did you use? What about on the dji fpv goggles, what antenna? My stock antenna on the dji and vista, I can only go as far as 0.6miles and it starts to break up. Great long range flight and video! I forgot to ask, are you using TBS Crossfire Nano RX? you can't, it's physics. but in my experience, the average oFFicEr oF tHe LaW knows little to nothing about UAV laws, and much less about tech. it's not like they run around measuring signal strength, checking your VTX storage for naco.txt files or looking at the goggle menu. plus, if you're far out in nature, you're really not endangering anyone - so it's fair game. in places like this, what you're more likely to get in trouble for is the fact that natural parks tend to be protected or restricted zones where you have to have a special permit to fly - and good luck getting one of those without knowing the right person or simply spending a lot of money. it depends on the country, but I know swiss gendarmerie doesn't fuck around, so you better fly somewhere they're very unlikely to be - or unlikely to reach before you've moved on. what helps in any confrontation with self-important uniformed individuals is to know every single rule you're bending or breaking. I did my STS-02 certification for that very purpose ;) but it also definitely helps to not fly DJI drones like the Mavic if you're not sure you're OK to do that wherever you currently are. because those, air traffic control sees even before they take off. complete with serial number, which is tied to your account, because you unlocked it. with a DIY or RTF drone, you're much harder (but not impossible!) to pinpoint. with a store-bought one, take no risks because the authorities will find you if they want or need to. DJI literally gave them all the tools to do that. TL;DR to paraphrase Ender's Game: cheating is OK if it's done intelligently. and my addition: as long as you're not taking unnecessary risks and can not only demonstrate that you know exactly what rule you broke, but also justify why you thought it was OK to break it - while not treating whomever you're talking to like an idiot - you are most likely going to be totally OK.

Is there anything else that you did besides the antenna upgrade? Sorry for all of the questions but I am in awe after watching this video and would have never believed a simple antenna upgrade could make that much of a difference.

Generally if your going to use vista in the title show the dvr not what video you have on your gopro.
