My biggest makeover yet - part 8. This visit was HARD WORK!!!

G'day everyone. Welcome back to one of the biggest yards I have ever taken on!
I had a couple of you comment in my last visit of this yard that I should include the original walkthrough of this backyard so it can give you all an idea of the progress that has been made to date. I thought this was a great idea so...here it is.
To be honest, I had forgotten just how badly overgrown it was myself! This is my 8th visit to this backyard and each time I generally spend 2 - 3 hours here so that now equates to 2 - 3 full days of labour. We've had huge patio reveals, path reveals, tree removal, pruning, weeding and slashing and there is still plenty more to come! I hope you are enjoying this clean-up as much as I am :)

It's a strange little yard, in a way. The architechural oddity of the bricked depression around the house like that really sttruck me! I wonder if it has caused flooding inside the house, over the years. Your excellent work is fascinating to watch, I admire that. All in all, a really interesting series, for sure. This yard just keeps on giving surprises. Hard scaping with bricks everywhere. This has such potential, it's truly an amazing yard. Your sweat equity knows no end, you've really contributed such positive energy here. You must have such pride about your accomplishments here. I truly hope the family residing here...KEEPS it clean going forward. I do not see them completing this extra shed build...

I looked back when you started over 9 months or more ago Pity the owners didn’t get a council free hard waste collection Anyway it’s coming along slowly Thank you for videoing and doing all the hard work I would love to see a skip donated by a family member to get rid of the junk and excess wood 🪵 and cut a few gum trees 🌲 downs and get rid of the shed panels in the ground and equipment but that’s just be Mobility issues later in life in a hazardous backyard is accidents waiting to happen Anyway what can you do Happiness is a friendly safe garden 🪴 Thanks again Well done 👍 🥂🥂🥂 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Wire growth, nature nearly reclaimed this once beautiful garden. When your finished it will be beautiful again. good job and hard physical labor. That trimmer barely worked on these vines. Little by little improvement is coming to light.

I am always surprised - positively - how little growth there is on the grass and between the block paving. I am sure I will not be the only commenter, can you move that metal panel and clean up underneath there? Or is it too heavy?

Hi Ryan, not sure you will see this but, just a few questions about the tree stubs. I kn you are gonna remove most if not all the tress but like how you remove the trip hazard i thought you would remove the bigger one as well to have a better view of the area. Also, jus curious after everything you gonna clean the edges with a scrapper to get those annoy weeds out so they dont grow back right. I love this series so can't wait for the next one

I'll definitely talk to them about the scrap metal. If they won't use it I can get rid of it for free as the tip doesn't charge for metal scraps.

I am hearing impaired and require closed captions. I have only had a chance to see a few of your productions, but I did note that some did not have their closed captions activated. That would include this one. If you could go back and activate the captions it will allow the hearing impaired to participate. Amazing that you are doing all this alone. Every one of those trees are in the wrong place and really need to go-especially the ones close to the house before they damage the foundation if they haven’t already. Are the owners new or existing owners who just let the property go to hell?

Yea I'll give the sheet another attempt next time, it's just a bit challenging to move. The soil has been taken for my garden beds at home as there is nowhere to put it at this place, all their current beds are full to the brim with soil.
