static in the air helps when fishing after a hot day or night it seems to switch the fish on i have had days carp fishing with no luck as the carp are being lazy in the heat then a storm brews up and the carp bow wave on the top looking for food i have done very well fishing just as a storm ends but be careful as fishing rods make excellent conductors of lightning

This comment is about older videos! I am so glad you told everyone about the bluefish as table fare! I am 71 years old now and first caught blues at Gulf Shores in 1961! I fished the surf under the old Gulf State Park Pier as it was under construction. When I would get into some blues in the surf, I would bring them back to our campsite for my mom to cook! They were scrumptious! I never throw a bluefish away!

Awesome video! Great shark you landed especially on artificial! But just to quickly correct you. That is a spinner shark (can see this because of the black on the anal fin) Blacktip sharks do not have the black on the anal fin. But still an excellent catch! Congratulations! 😁

Fantastic! Not my business, but couldn't you do a little Orange/Gulf Shores promotion and get some tourism money from those towns. I'm sure you know better than I. Love your stuff. It's my entertainment and keeps me coming back to OB.

Heat lightning is simply cloud to cloud lightning. Thunder is usually present, but the air is less dense at that altitude so the thunder isn’t as loud.
@sxirs3 жыл бұрын
When a huge storm is coming it builds large cloud towers because the heat rises and builds them so probably that is where "heat lightning" comes from. That's why you can see them from so far.

I guess so...Looking back at the video from our August 2020 trip with you (video 8/14/2020 about 10:52 in the video) it's real close - that was a big boy kneeling next to that shark. The 2020 shark was caught on cut bait. Seriously, great job 1) keeping the shark hooked on the spoon and 2) keeping the shark from cutting your line.
