♥ Hi everyone!
I am finally sharing my birth story with all of you! Nothing really went accordingly to my birth plan but in the end it was a positive experience and I am so grateful for our daughter, Mia. Women are amazing and I still cannot believe my body created another human!
The best advice I can give to anyone who is expecting is to have a birth plan but also know that things can change during labor. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below and Ill do my best to answer (from my experience only). I always recommend speaking to your doctor for any questions as they will guide you best!
Sending you all so much love!
xox,
Arshia

This is the reason I have been following you for such a long time. You are so true to each and every thing you say. If it is scary you don't sugar coat it. I have always been motivated by you. Right now 5th week pregnant and scared. And again you motivated me. Thanks Arshia. Really thank you!❤

I’ve been waiting for this video. I had my baby boy March 3rd and can definitely relate. My hospital dosed the epidural according to my weight. They didn’t turn it down at all thankfully. I couldn’t feel a thing but pushed for an hour and half. Mia is beautiful. Way to go Momma!

Arshia...the only people who have ever been this raw and real about their birth stories with me are my best friend, and you. Thank you for sharing this sacred rite of passage. Labour and childbirth is scary and fraught with difficulty so don't feel bad for saying how you felt. You are a mom now, that's all that matters💖

Thanks a lot Arshia for being so honest with your experience! I am planning to have a kid this year and this video is so informative at the same time I'm scared too! Finally I heard a true story compared to what we see in movies. Labor is so much more complex than I ever imagined!! I got emotional when you explained the whole vacuum thing and I can understand it had drained you so so much!! Thank God everything went well and Mia and you are safe and healthy now :) :)

Congratulations to both of you. I had my daughter 19 years ago. I planned everything but nothing went to plan. I never read up on a Caesarean section but had to have one last minute. In the UK our NHS maternity is amazing and they really looked after me . Isn’t it amazing how quickly you forget the pain once you’re holding your baby. By the way Mia is a beautiful name, its also my surname but I have a “h” at the end. Love to all 3 of you.

Congrats! My 2nd child is named, "Mia"...and I delivered her with vaccum assistance as well! I was so happy when she finally came out because labor was intense while pushing. I chose to do it without an epidural and it was the greatest high I have ever felt, from the time I pushed her out to the time they laid her on my chest. Blessings to you sweet mama! Sp excited for sweet Mia. I cried so much when I stared at my little babies in their sweet faces after birth and for weeks after!!!! Enjoy the highs and lows those first few months. I smiled everytime they woke up to be nursed during the night. Take care of u mama...hot showers and great healthy food were what helped me the most those first 6-8 weeks!

What an emotional video! Thank you for being so honest. I am due in June, and up until now, all the friends and family I have spoken to tell me how well the epidural worked for them, but failed to mention the dosing being reduced, so thank you for bringing that up. Also, no one talks about the catheter part as much. I have always been terrified of the labor and delivery, but I have been trying to calm myself down, and thought I was in an okay place mentally preparing. I see now that I'm not. Cue the panic. As scary as it sounds, it does help to hear other women's experiences, so once again, thank you. And congratulations!!

I had almost the same experience delivering my first born. Had a labor for 25 hours. Then pushed for 3-4 hours. Baby’s head could be seen but he couldn’t come out. I was told by my Ob that my pelvis was too narrow for his head - the medical term for this I believe is Cephalopelvis disproportion! Then I ended up having a C-sec! Thank you for sharing your very emotional journey! 😍 Congratulations, Mama! Big hugs! God bless your Angel! 👼

The moment you got emotional, I swear to God, I felt like getting into my screen to give you a tight warm hug 🫂 you did it! I am not a mom yet but I do know how bad the contractions get bcoz unfortunately I had a miscarriage 3 years ago. Anyhow, I feel every woman is so strong that she herself isn’t aware of it. I mean, often times in our day to day lives, we still ask our husbands or any male member of the house to do a heavy job, like lifting something heavy etc however trust me, no man ever can go through what we women do in our lives to bring a new life

Hey Arshia!! So happy to hear you are doing okay. Just for the ladies who wanna know: 1. It's okay to be induced for labour. The optimum time is 39-42 weeks. There is nothing wrong with getting induced, it's actually better so the baby is not so big and it's easier. (They give you some medication to dilate and start contraction s) 2. In vaginal labour after you have dilated and the contractions are pretty frecuent, the baby starts coming down the labour canal (there are 4 stages, if the baby gets stuck in the first 2, you'll end up having a cesarean, if the baby is stuck in stage 3,4 a spatula/ or vacum can help to rotate the baby if needed and help to get the head out). 4. The contraction basically is your uterus being contracted. It starts from the top to bottom (so it is actually like a 🌊 wave). That's why it's so important that you push just when the contraction is on its peak to help the baby move forward). Take care 😘
