Hey there, I have to say what a cutie your little guy is. I was born at 25 weeks myself. I am 33 years old turning 34 this year. I have been though a lot in my life going through luckily one surgery heal cord surgery. I was in special programs being young. And eventually went through school through to college. Your little guy has a lot in life to look forward to I assure you.

I went thru the same thing had to deliver my twins 2hrs away at 23weeks. They put me to sleep n I didn’t see them for 3days. They gave them a less than 10% chance of living. I had an amazing crew but it was this one doctor who kept reminding me of every negative outcome. One twin end up passing after a week but my survivor spent 5months in nicu n he’s home from 1.4lbs to12lbs on oxygen n a feeding tube. Long road but he made it

Whoa! I am going through the same thing. Water broke at 20 weeks. Almost 21 weeks now with twins and docs told me the same thing. The baby that bag broke has higher risks and there are chances the other baby whose bag isn’t broken might be the only to survive if I make it to at least 25 weeks. I am so nervous every day. Praying every day.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am so sorry for all you’ve went through. I am so glad you both are ok. Some doctors have absolutely no manors. Just not cut out for the part where they have to communicate with others. I am so glad you both made it. Much love to you and your family.

I agree with the PTSD of a C-section. I also threw up and was shaking. I barely realized that it was out of fear after you said it. This whole time I thought it was the meds but I was terrified and frozen. Now I know for sure it was fear.
@keeperofthedomus76543 жыл бұрын
I have had 4 c-sections and I know what you mean about the eery atmosphere. It also takes twice as long to close you up as it does to take the baby out. It’s so hard waiting during the second part. You probably were having a reaction to some of the c-section drugs with the throwing up. Thankfully I only usually have some shaking from the drugs and once I had some itching. So thankful God brought the two of you through all of this!

Just listening to you talk about when they told you Ryker would be going to a NICU across town after delivery... that happened to me and it was super traumatic. We have similar stories. Hospital bedrest for 4 weeks due to preeclampsia and then an emergency c-section; they transferred my baby to another hospital right away with a higher needs NICU and when I woke up from surgery (it was a general anesthetic) I found out my baby was in another hospital, not even in the same city. I demanded to be transferred to that hospital when I found out, and it's a long story but the chain of events that came next were just awful. Good for you for advocating for yourself and your baby. What a miracle Ryker is, your story is super inspiring. ps I am also a photographer - we have lots in common lol!

I can totally relate to what you are saying. And I sympathize with what you had to go through. I had a high risk pregnancy with my third child because I am a type 1 diabetic. I had decided to get my tubes tied after my third child was born because my doctors had always advised against having any children at all and I felt like I was kind of pushing my luck at this point. Anyway, my water breaks at 29 weeks and as they were about to take me for an emergency C-section the doctor is at the foot of my bed talking to me about the risk of delivering this early when a nurse comes in for me to sign the papers to get my tubes tied. As she comes in the room the nurse says I've got your paperwork if you're sure that you are getting your tubes tied after delivery I just need you to sign this. And my doctor looks up at her and shakes his head and says no we won't be doing that she may need to have another baby after this. And all I heard was no her baby is going to die and she's going to want to replace it with another baby. That is not what a mom needs to hear or think when delivering a preemie. It is so insensitive and I don't think the doctors realize what type of mental anguish they are putting a mother through and distress that they are adding to an already stressful situation. You have a beautiful family. I am so grateful that my baby made it with minimal problems in 6 weeks in the nephew and I am also grateful that your baby made it as well.

My granddaughter was born at 25 weeks. They had to resuscitate her, she’s on the breathing tube and will be 30 weeks tomorrow. She was 1lb 13oz then lost weight . She’s 3 lbs now and seem to be doing well. I guess I’m wondering how do they know when they will come off the machine ? I hear from my son she’s in “ low amount “ but don’t understand all of it. Your baby is so adorable , god bless your family ❤️ I hope to hold her one day in the near future. Her name is Penney 💕

A mother love, is a mother love. Just like the biological clock ticking, a mother knows and feels the good and bad when it deals with their child. Funny part is, they are more coherent than us men. They know when the baby is sleeping, awake or even crying just by being in another room. Whereas us men, we have to play the guessing game to figure things out. Your story and the life of Ryker is a true blessing of God power and the healing of Jesus. Your guardian angles were with you every step of the way. It's a shame that MOST doctors and sadly some nurses do not have bedside manners. Please never let that take over you and your power of love and life. Because now, you have the most handsome little man in your life along with a partner who stood at your side and fought for you and with you. May god bless you both and may your son also be healed, protected and love by God and Jesus.

My kidney has been leaking protein since I was 13 weeks pregnant.. my pressure goes up to 140 but they still want to say they are weighing it out. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and every time they see more protein and a slight increase in BP but they just act like its nothing serious. I had my first child at 35 weeks due to Preeclampsia... so I was already warned then that I would be likely to get it again. I just feel like this new doctor is not taking it serious. I already have that bad pain on my back, and he already told me it is my Kidney not functioning correctly. So I don’t see why they have not done anything yet.
