Bit of advice on gaze mechanics in general - everyone, but dps in particular want to position so their back is to the source of gaze and their target is in front. What this means for positioning is that you always want some space between the boss/target and the gaze for people to stand in between: back to gaze and front to boss. This allows you to keep dps uptime during the gaze rather than having to turn away and stop casting. Boss > Party > Gaze Of course, if the boss/target IS the source, then turning away is probably unavoidable.
