Great to hear your good results. You might want to do arterial scan of your Carotid Arteries and Calcium score too. These can show how you are doing in the circulation/arterial health.

HDL above 60mg/dL is actually considered protective against heart disease. i have my MS in nutrition science.

Your creatinine of 0.89 is a bit high. Therefore, eGFR of 87, calculated from creatinine, is a bit low. eGFR less than 90 indicates early kidney disease. Not sure what’s causing the kidney problem. Could it be oxalates?

You should try to get your LDL under 70 according to most plant based docs like Esselstyn, McDougall, Fuhrman, etc.

What about your iron and iron stores (ferritin). That’s what I struggled with when I was vegan. I know others who struggled as well. It caused extreme fatigue.

Check out AlgaeCal supplements they’re great, I use them, and they’re plant based :) great for bone health.

@@annelewis7435 make sure you’re getting vitamin D and magnesium and eat calcium rich foods. Those three things really work together, so if you’re missing vitamin D for example, you won’t absorb calcium properly. Most people are deficient in magnesium. I’ve taken CALM for years and it is a miracle worker, now I take AlgaeCal but that’s for a different reason, it has all three and is vegan 😊

@@LorraFae I take a lot of Magnesium---different forms and one of them is also calm. I take a multi called love compliment for vegans and extra zinc. I eat tons of greens so hopefully that's good for calcium. I do use a vegan protein by truvani too daily

I’m vegan and my iron stores (iron saturation) is always at the lowest end of normal. So I have to supplement with a liquid iron every so often. Liquid avoids constipation.

This is all great! But your LDL is higher than your HDL, did you notice? So your HDL actually is a bit low compared to your LDL... it should be the other way around.

Nice video Kristina! I tried being a vegetarian for about 8 months and it just didn't work out for me so now I'am pescatarian, but I eat vegan meals mostly. Have you ever done a video where you are displaying exactly what to eat to make sure one is getting enough protein, b12, iron, vit d and ect?

I am curious about one thing. I have type two diabetes but I am currently keeping it in check with diet. I tried eating vegan because I thought that was the better eating choice but I developed severe iron deficient anemia (had to have a blood transfusion) so I went back to eating meat. How do you keep your iron up? I would love to be able to be fully vegan again.

I like your videos- so much abundance of fresh fruits and veggies. I started blending and really loving it. I tried juicer for first time yesterday and got pulp fragments sprayed all over my shirt 😄. Also I didn’t realize how big quantities of food needed for this (I only ended up with 1/2 cup of juice - so I added it into the blender with other things). I will probably stick to the blender smoothies except for special occasions 😊

@@carinaekstrom1 i have high cholesterol and I am born vegan. My family runs with cancers and heart issues. I am very active and a state level athlete. These numbers are just an indication they cannot define what happens.

@@lisanyugenhascancer6332 Of course, but if I had 95 in LDL I would look into the other markers such as Apo B, and LP(a). And if it was all high I would probably use a statin to get them down to safer levels. (Assuming diet changes is not enough.) High numbers are a risk whether you are an athlete or not.

Check the pricing because it’s not as cheap as people think and unless you’re getting a full panel….you might just be surprised at what you need vs just bits and pieces.
