My bobbin thread sensor doesn't work

Just cleaned the bobbin race and the sensors on a Brother V7 and Stellaire, display is now coming up when bobbin is nearly out of thread, nice easy fix.

Hi thank you for the video. I'll be cleaning this bobbin sensor. However, the message I keep on getting is "Check and Reathread the Upper Thread", but thread is perfectly fine, and none of the basic troubleshuting on Brother's website have worked on my PE800. If you have have any advise on how to solve this issues I'll appreciate*

Sometimes my bobbin thread doesn't pick up when continuing a design and just keeps stitching without the bobbin thread, so I have to keep re-threading the bobbin thread. Hope this makes sense. I have the Luminaire.

Jennifer Ward That happened to me only last week, so all I did was re thread it and it was fine.

One of the causes can be that the bobbin fill is too tightly tensioned causing it to slip the top thread on collection. Try using your alternative bobbin case and set up the tension as per my “know your bobbin thread tension” vid and see if that fixes it until the next service when I can check it out for you 😊 - Keith.

Will do. Thanks Keith, will try tomorrow and let you know how I get on. It’s not a big problem and doesn’t do it all the time, just a bit annoying if I take my eye of it and find out that it’s been embroidering for a bit and not stitching. 😸

I feel I should tell you that the problem you have is not unique to your machine. I have a Dream Machine 2 the same thing occurs. I learned it is a problem with the senor when you are using the rebound white bobbins. My machine was in for repair and cleaning, after five weeks they did not fix the bobbin sensor issue. This morning I emailed the Brother USA company to see what they have to say. According to my dealer they have the same problem with the brand new luminaire machines. If you use a colored Bobbin (not a white one) you will not have the problem. I feel this is a bigger issue than a little lint in the bobbin case.

My machine keeps stopping and alarming as if my bobbin is about to run out but there is still a decent amount of thread on the bobbin. Any thoughts?
