When she began to talk about women’s bodies after pregnancy and she brought up the fact that some women’s stomachs don’t go back to their original size made me smile. It’s true women are pressured to be thin or “in shape” even if they just did something beautiful. My mother still has extra skin and stretch marks she also still has a bigger stomach but it’s ok because she did something beautiful. Women may look thin in magazines or television or whatever and may be told they are beautiful and that’s true. But being bigger or being bigger because of pregnancy is something that a model can not recreate. I love you Colleen remember that we are here for you. And that we support you😘😘

I’m so glad Colleen has been so real with us. Like she’s said a bunch of times, there’s such a pressure for women to have the “ideal” pregnancy, and how the “ideal” woman’s body should look, and she’s just been so honest. And that not only takes a lot of courage being so open and vulnerable, but also idk if she realizes just how educational and inspirational she’s being. So glad everyone is good and healthy!

According to my mom after seeing my grandma and my great grandma, is to rest for 40 days after giving birth.. in my country, normally your mom or your sister take care of everything during that period.. and ur body will comeback like it was.. the key is to rest.. but seeing the modern world and how it works its so hard to take a rest that long.

The way I relate to your videos about pregnancy-even childbirth! My daughter was born 3 1/2 weeks early too! I also had an episiotomy (then an emergency c section) but GIRL the stitches down there hurt a million times more than the bikini incision they made to cut her out of my belly. The stitches in my vagina will haunt me forever. I didn’t vlog my pregnancy but the way you described the moment he came out you finally felt like yourself again, I had that too. Being trapped in the bed all I wanted to do was jump back into normal life-the fourth trimester is real! Colleen, thank you for your vlogs. I had a miscarriage a couple months after yours, the comfort of seeing you pregnant again after all that is INSPIRING and seeing your pregnancy sagas has HELPED ME FEEL LIKE IM NOT ALONE. No one talks about vagina stitches or how awfully uncomfortable pregnancy is while at the same time acknowledging that the painful symptoms are completely worth it because you know there’s a family member coming out of you soon. Colleen for president. I also feel like if you need to talk to a stranger who’s been through pretty much exactly the same things, I am here for you sis. Been a huge fan since ‘09. Now we both have a little toddler. In conclusion, Thanks for existing. I feel like ur my friend. ❤️

I think many women try to keep information away from young women about pregnancy because they know how unappealing it is. I’m 32 and I honestly didn’t know half the shit you’re sharing so thank you 😊
@MsCherade96 жыл бұрын
I had just turned 20 when I went through a full pregnancy. Unfortunately mine went drastically wrong in the finally week and while in labour, so I'm always afraid to talk about how my pregnancy, labour and recovery went. It can go sideways in so many different wsys, but then other women sail through the whole thing!

i was extremely lucky after I had my daughter. I went right back to my regular size when I left the hospital. However, unfortunately I could not breastfeed so I think I would have rather had a belly and breast fed my daughter than have my body shape back immediately. You look amazing, Colleen, with all you've been through and the fact that you are showing your process is incredible! give yourself 6 months to recuperate. your body will surprise you!!!

Thank you for showing a postpartum belly! So many first time moms have only seen moms in the public eye show their bellies again months after the fact when they're back to "normal" and most likely also photoshopped. THIS is real life! You're doing awesome at this motherhood thing and he IS that cute! That shot with his hair in those jammies, staahhhp!

I think it’s so important that you talk about body image. Bodies are not perfect and No two people are the same. Your body did something incredible and for that, it is absolutely beautiful. You don’t have to have a flat tummy to have a nice body, all bodies have unique quirks- that’s what makes us special

@@astridpaulinasanchezcantu1654 YES! Though if you are carrying a life inside you, especially, take care of your body, and be extra careful of what you put inside it! The whole "eating for two" thing is false, and you cannot just eat whatever you want. Just be careful, while also feeling beautiful no matter the skin you're in, and no matter your size!
