Pec has said in interviews at Vasco he was coached to play more defensively. Greg has given him freedom to play the way he wants, on the attack with the freedom to be creative.

If the Sounders open up and try attacking with too many bodies forward, they’ll be giving up goals. But there was worry about Minnesota’s 5-4-1 formation being too much for the Galaxy to score against and they scored 6. So we will see what happens.

Problem for Minnesota is they gave up an early goal. So that forced them to push forward. As a Galaxy fan, the best way to play against this team is to sit deep and counter. The worst thing you can do is play a high line. If you play a high line and don't have a well-drilled aggressive press, you're signing your death warrant with Pec and Paintsil on the wings.

7:00 I disagree. I hope Seattle does go all out attack, because then I see the Galaxy curb-stomping them. LA Galaxy is very good in transition, and will very likely win any open game. Seattle's best hope is to not give up an early goal, and to sit back and counter. This way they can exploit Galaxy's vulnerabilities in preventing defensive transitions (especially if Reus starts over Delgado), and win 1-0 or 2-1, or go to penalties (where they'll have the advantage against a Galaxy side who are uniquely awful at taking PKs). I agree with the 3-1 prediction though. 12:00 Strong disagree here. Redbulls have been very fortunate this playoff run. So many missed chances by NYC and Columbus. Anything is possible but they are by far the weakest of the four remaining teams. I'd say 2-0 to Orlando.

LA Galaxy have one of the Leagues best offenses, but are going up against the MLS's best defense. LA Galaxy didn't have much success against the Sounders during the season this year, so it should be good a match for Seattle.

Both games Sounders won were at Seattle vs an injured Galaxy side. Considering this weekend will be in LA (where Galaxy have not lost this season), against a fully healthy LA Galaxy, and Sounders are nursing some injuries, it will be tough for Seattle. But anything can happen in one game 🤷‍♂.

Will definitely be more of a challenge than Rapids or Loons. I think *if* Galaxy get an early goal it should be smooth sailing. Galaxy are at their best when the opposition has to come out and play, as opposed to sitting back. Also Vanney should start Delgado over Reus imo. Would give them more cover on the defensive transition.

dissapointed that almost all you did was focus on the la galaxy attack, sounders have the best defense record in the league... its a classic soaring offense vs rock solid defense battle. saying the sounders "need 3 goals to win" is shallow analysis and as a first time listener, shows me that you are just like all the other media that just focuses on the goalscorers and attacking teams. the sounders have shown time and time again over the years that they have will have a game plan to keep any important match close, whether it is changing formation or having players across the roster step up. it could very easily be 3-1 galaxy but it should not be as straightforward as yep the galaxy have scored 5 goals per game in the playoffs so the sounders need to score 3-4 goals to win. would anyone really be surprised if it was 2-1 sounders or 2-1 galaxy?

I think that sounders have a very good defense and they conceded the least amount of goals in MLS. Frei has been playing some of the best ball of his career. I just believe that the Galaxy’s attack is too lethal. I’ll be dropping a match preview tomorrow.
