The brings back memories of when my mom would sing this to me as a little girl. She is not here, but I do sing it to my son❤. I really do love this rendition of the song! Reminds me of her singing to me so, so much...much!!!

I am an Oklahoman, who loves all traditional folk songs, especially from the old country. You have a beautiful voice, and performed the song wonderfully. Your authenticity, as well as your manner of dress, and the beautiful landscape made the video very realistic. Thank you, for taking me back in time, and away from this troubled world, if only for a short time.

Я эту песню в русской школе изучал 30 лет назад. На уроках английского были часы музыки. Не знал, что она шотландская.

Scotland and Russia have the same patron saint: Saint Andrew the Apostle.
@8Greendog2 ай бұрын
@@FrancescoZanichelli Perhaps the problem is different. Scotland and the Scots are not a free people. And Russians are very sensitive to injustice.

@@FrancescoZanichelli "Scots" это по русски " Скотина, животное". И это английский термин, который перешел в русский язык. Как считаешь, это справедливо, когда англичане называют шотландцев скотом в общении с русскими?

@@8Greendog I hope that the common patron saint between Scotland and Russia will lead the Scots to reflect on their common cultural and religious roots with the Russians and thus to see objectively the truth about the war in Ukraine, freeing themselves from the falsehoods propagated by the great globalist finance that dominates the West and wants to destroy those roots (in particular it wants to destroy the traditional family, masking it with deceptive speeches on the protection of minorities, because the traditional family is the biggest obstacle to full control over people). Read GK Chesterton, a great defender of family, faith and freedom. I hope this also leads to the freedom and independence of the Scots.

@@8Greendog YT censored my answer. I can only write that I hope that the common patron saint between Scotland and Russia will lead the Scots to reflect on their common cultural and religious roots with the Russians (and these are the common roots of all Europeans). Read GK Chesterton, a great defender of family, faith and freedom. I hope that soon we will have a free Scotland again in a peaceful Europe that has rediscovered its true values.
