Im excited for this book! Interesting you bring sacred and profane into career world, I don't think I ever thought of it that way before. But the idea certainly resonates with me - I think it comes down to what is meaningful to us. If I'm doing work I can't connect to on any level - I'm not using a skill I value in myself, I'm not doing anything that will make difference to others... When I'm just ticking boxes and doing busywork - that's what "being dead at work" is for me.
