@@joeb5212 yeah as much as I like the escalade, its crazy how ppl were dropping Porsche 911 money on a escalade simply cuz they chucked a vette motor in it. I like the V but it really did feel like a cash grab to cash in on everyone putting a V8 in every car they could until they’re not allowed to anymore. The urge to sell a collectable product vs a good product is really getting to these brand’s heads.

In my opinion they say to not even do 0-60 in these things till there 500-1000 miles in to break in the engine smooth out all the moving parts and properly lubricate the whole block . In my opinion someone started whipping this like a animal as soon as they bought it .

Faulty lifters on GM V8’s…there is a class action lawsuit. Our 2019 Silverado died at 105k miles, not new car but this shouldn’t happen, 100k is just breaking a car in these days when treated right. Faulty lifters has been a known issue at GM, dealers, and service centers for many years. Engines only have 60k mile warranty, GM not issuing recall, dealers and service centers are hiding the fact there is an issue. Replacement engine will now cost customers, out of warranty, over $12k. @@tetriseffect711if you want a good 6.2 this is your best bet. Buy a 2007.5-2013 Denali,Escalade or LTZ Chevy truck. Some have cylinder deactivation, some don’t. Either or, find a shop that can have the top end rebuilt and have the dod deleted. Usually a $4,000 job where I am in Texas but it’s so worth it once it’s rebuilt that motor will last forever. For a quarter of the cost Instead of paying on a new car you know will let you down.

I don't know what the deal is with GM now and quality control!!!! I've already heard about a guy with the 2023 Corvette ZO6 with a flat plane crank engine that blew up.... Now you're Escalade with the 6.2 supercharged previous Corvette ZO6 engine blows up..... This must be a recent quality control issue with GM, RACER X.... Because, I've owned 11 Corvettes in my 55 years on this Earth and I've never had any of the Corvette engines blow up; (transmissions, alternators and starters have had problems with) and I've raced each one extensively on quarter mile tracks; from my new 1991, C4, polo green, tan interior and tan top convertible, (college graduation gift from my dad) to my many C5 ZO6s, to C6 ZO6s and C6 ZR1 and Grand Sports that I all bought brand new myself, I'VE NEVER HAD ANY OF MY CORVETTE ENGINES BLOW UP. NEVER. I raced every one of them at the quarter-mile track. I can't explain this man... I just don't know what to tell you RACER X....

@@tomm487 well I think a lot of people that get their hands on high performance vehicles are not as intelligent as you would think. I know I have seen lots of videos of people beating on performance cars with barely 100 miles. Wouldn’t do a whole lot on a run of the mill engine but these performance engines have tighter tolerances different materials etc that absolutely require a break in or you will likely damage internals. Like you mentioned tho we are yet to know but I doubt it’s an internal defect. Personally I’ve had really good experiences with these engines.
