They don't show it, but when Larry threw that basketball, it was a direct hit off Laimbeer's head and bounced 20 feet.

His teammate, Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell said it best.... "What I liked about Larry is that he didn't give a damn. He didn't care about you thought about him, or said about him, or if you labeled him as a hyped up white guy. He was the best player in the league and he was going to bust your ass." I think that just about sums things up perfectly. LOL. Great reaction as always bro!!

The best part of the Dr J fight is because he kept bringing up how many points they had and at the end it was 42 - 6 and told Dr. J to retire.

Bird answered that question about the Dr. J fight. Bird told Dr. J to retire. He didn't like that. When asked, Bird said "I was up 38-6. That's how I summarize it." Lol.

Larry said he grew up and learned to play basketball on the local playgrounds, often from older black men that talked a lot of trash. He credits this with his trash talking but he's also said that if someone wanted to go he had to be ready to go or else you might as well just go home because your going to get beat.

Larry surprised a LOT of ppl. In a LOT of ways 👍 He got into a lot of fights growing up, he had 2 older brothers & he was apparently a troublemaker in the town too Bcuz the rule in the family was that Larry’s brothers were expected to stick up for Larry so Larry would deliberately start trouble hoping his brothers would get beat up 😂 Have you reacted to Larrys 50 assists yet? (My memory sux 😂) That fight with Larry & Dr J was so bogus! Larry was pinned by Moses Malone & Charles Barkley & Dr J took several cheap shots! I’m glad the Chuckster & Moses got fined! 😡 The second fight Coach Cunningham’s jacket was ripped in the back top to bottom! Apparently Larry did that 😂 Also you mentioned someone has to be mad to throw the ball at someone….I wonder if we will see when Larry threw the ball at Bill Laimbeer’s head 😂

What they leave out here is every time Larry scored he kept repeating his score against dr. J's score which by the time the fight started was 42 for Larry and 6 for Dr. J and it finally got to Dr. J. and things got physical LOL
@marthahanley66503 жыл бұрын
In that Dr. J fight (three against one unfair fight LOL) Bird said what *really* started the fight. Bird just kept chanting their scores at halftime. "38-6" "38-6" "38-6" I guess this didn't help to start it. But that slam on his back with WEIGHT falling onto him? I'd say let them fight but Thug Dave probably reinjured his dislocated part of his spine.

Yes he was, and he actually said "Bruce was much more a problem for me than I was for him". This coming from a 7'2 230lb man against a 5'7" (at best) 135lb man! That tells me Bruce could have had a shot against Ali with no rules. Although if Ali got one good punch, it would be over. Bruce was so lightning quick and so hard to hit, may have never got one punch. The reality is most likely they are going to get in close quarters, which limits any kind of real punches Ali could throw. Now Ali would have a serious weight advantage, but Bruce was so strong (the best fighters in the world ALL said he hits like a professional heavyweight) he would have a legitimate shot. Especially because he was willing to bite, pull hair, and hit in the groin. You need to do whatever is necessary in hand to hand combat, to defeat your enemy!
