Tommy was priceless. and Dick was the perfect straight man who could slip in a great line when it fit. The world is a sadder place today. Our thoughts are with you, Dick.

"I'd say, 'Hey, it's your buddy. I'm in trouble. It's Tommy... Smothers... your BROTHER!!!'" Tom Smothers was supposedly the true comic genius of the act. I don't know whether that's true, but he had the most amazing delivery and sense of timing imaginable. May God let him lead the Heavenly Choir in a rendition of "Boil that cabbage down".
