Absolutely love and admire how level headed and sensible you are with spending at Christmas. Another brilliant video as always! Have a wonderful Christmas with the family x

I’ve never done Christmas pyjamas or Christmas Eve boxes. Never done elf on the shelf either 😂 I have bought many second hand gifts for my twins in the past. So much better value for money and they don’t even realise and if they do they don’t care if they are preloved. They just want things to open

Bloody love a panto! We actually ask grandparents to pay for it as our family Christmas present! Really helps , instead of having more plastic crap I ask for rhe money towards festive activities. And we've found most family members are very happy to do that xxx
@HomeWithShanАй бұрын
That’s a great idea! I would absolutely do that ♥️♥️

I think it takes a bit of the pressure off too! Which we all need xxx

We love a panto too! My boy girl twins are 12 on Friday and my daughter is type one diabetic so we are going to the panto near us with a type one kids group and we all go to Nando’s beforehand. It’s great for her to spend time with other t1 kids and we’ve done a summer camp with them the last few years too.

I didn't budget anything for Christmas this year, so this is so useful to plan for 2025 😊

So organised. I pretty much do the same (like budget and keep track of things) but I do it on a notes thing via an ipad. That way I can put pictures in :) I also do the nitty gritty stuff. I really think about gifts/ things to do and do some research on developmentally appropriate items as well as things that would suit that specific child’s personality (ie child A likes water hence will give him water-related gift like some bath toys). We give gifts to 10+ more kids (family and friends) so a lot of planning goes into it. Husband will contribute whatever he can. No pressure to what amount that is. I truly enjoy being in charge of these stuff and more than willing to shoulder majority of the costs and the effort. To give my kids (and other kids) a magical christmas is a gift in itself and really the only thing I want this year.

Great video shan thank you ❤. This is whatnis keeping me up at night lol. I have to try to save every month next year! Be easier now both kids will be in nursery and school all week 😅 last xmas of scrimping and scrapping hopefully. Sounds like you will have a magical one girly 🎄 xx

I totally get you!! I hope it’s not too stressful for you this year babe. You’ll get through it 🤞🏼 Even £30 a month from January is £360 by Christmas!! Saving monthly is the only way for me to do it 😅

@HomeWithShan that's interesting thanks hon. You doing a yearly budget for the new year? I need to sit down and do that over the Christmas "break" xx

Very interesting watch - thank you. Have also been watching Vicky Smith @TheMummyBubble as she talks about what she won't be buying this year! Everyone has their own way to approach their spends for Christmas - best wishes.

This is a great breakdown and really does show just how expensive christmas is even with a good budget. Money goes nowhere. I would hate to even think of how much i spend. I save £100 a month but i also buy during the year and book events separately as they come out. Christmas was awful for me as a child and something i dreaded. Since having my own children it is just magical! It is the childhood i never got to have so i go overboard and i do consider myself lucky to be able to do so. I really wish i could cut down on the amount of people i have to buy for. Between families, friends, teachers etc etc i have to buy for over 30 people which is just ridiculous. I have tried getting my husband in on the kids only with his family and he doesnt want to broach it. Thats what i do with my sisters. Of course my husband does nothing to help buy for anyone anyway so it is okay for him! Any advice on cutting this down!
@HomeWithShanАй бұрын
Bless your heart!! I totally get that, and of course all we want to do is make Christmas as magical as we can for our kids and it’s VERY easy to do so and not realise how much it adds us! But if you can afford to and it makes you and your family happy, then you do you. I hope you have the best Christmas!! Sounds like you deserve it 👏🏼♥️🥰 In the cutting down on how many people to buy for.. maybe suggesting doing secret Santa with your family/partners siblings ect? That way everyone can get one really good gift… rather than 10 cheaper ones??♥️

I was a bit confused, was this a joint budget for Christmas? Or your budget? Did you save £500 each?
@mcsunga8137Ай бұрын
I believe this is only her portion of the christmas budget, what she is willing to spend for. Her husband contributes as well for sure but just not this organised.
@daisybashtonАй бұрын
@mcsunga8137 no I think it must be joint as it includes the kids presents and all the groceries- I can't imagine she is expected to budget for this alone if she is married.
@mcsunga8137Ай бұрын
@ she has mentioned before that her husband contributes an undisclosed amount. And that he is not the type of person who will sit and make a spreadsheet for sinking funds like Christmas. From everything she has said and from what she has been saying since January (budget videos), it seems like this is her budget and what she is willing to spend on her side. I’m certain though that her other half gives as well. In previous videos, she has mentioned that “it’s a gift from his dad”; “ash got her this as a present”.
