You cannot hook up an external audio interface to facetime on your iphone. Yes if on mac or macbook, and the source is mono (facetime will only “hear” channel 1 of your interface). I don’t know about iPad.

One other quick question! What is the name of the tripod name and model number, and the name and model of the iPhone holder? I really appreciate that a lot. I could make out the audio part. Thanks so much! Dennis

Hi Alan, have you tried teaching using Iphone and External Mic? Usb Mic or smth like this....?

I have not but have some students that do with good results.

It works with a basic shure mv88 external lightning port mic. It does not work with a Scarlett 2i2
