What is it with us Larger Lads that carry big packs? Lol I'm right there with you Dude! I'm 6'3" over 4oolbs and carry a medium ALICE pack that I had to make a PVC frame just to fit me to be able to carry it! I like your load out contents and now a new fan! I have been following Dave Canterbury since his beginning. My favorite Author is Lt Col David Grossman ~ Warrior Mindset / Sheepdog heart. I have met him several times in my 35yr career as a Law Enforcement Officer and get chills everytime! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Sir! Stay Safe and healthy out there!

Looks like a sound kit for an experienced woodsman - lots of top notch gear! Desert dweller myself although I do venture in the mountain pines. I've got a good size kit myself but working to reduce it to just a 'survival kit' for hiking trips. Need all the room and weight reduction I can get - carry a couple gallons of water most of the time.

I like a lot of what you’re carrying. What is the weight of your kit? Does it give you the ability to walk for long distances before needing to stop? Also, in your fire kit, I didn’t hear you mention a lighter. Please consider that as well if you don’t have it. It’s fun to use the ferro rods, and they certainly make sense for all weather use, but in a life saving emergency, your lighter should be your first go to. Put bankline around it and make a lanyard, hang it on your neck to keep it from getting too cold. Safe wandering brother, keep enjoying the journey!

Im like you in that respect. I want to go out and enjoy myself, stay warm and dry and don't mind carrying extra stuff... especially if I think I may need to poop when I'm out there! .. lol.. but I keep four rolls of tp in the truck at all times too!

I love the victorinox multi too!! I tried carrying several others over the years but I couldnt get into them.. the victorinox is "svelt" so to speak.

@@BillCoxBushcraft I old ask because I have noticed they no longer make different camos anymore. This means anyone owning a Kifaru pack that has camo will be worth quite a bit. I have 1 in multicam
