My Buster Blader Yugioh Deck Profile for December 2022

I’ve been lamenting over how to update my Buster Blader deck for a month now. Perfect timing as always

As much as i love the deck, i believe that konami crippled half of the pieces on purpose. Not making buster dragon a "destruction swordsman" card, the retrain not having the same name in the hand, the fusion not being a destruction swordsman. This whole deck would jump to (and remain at) tier 1 if only those few things were solved imo. They have a built in abyss dweller, they can shut off activated continuous s/t effects, they shut down any and all dragons (and transform anything that hits board _into_ a dragon), have some of the best backrow in the game. Still love buster blader, but Konami truly did this deck dirty.

Absolutely agree. It's wild that the dragon and fusion aren't destruction sword cards. Prologue's graveyard effect is mostly useless because of that. Although the retrain had to have that distinction because then it would have the Harpie lady problem If it was always treated as buster blader cuz you cant have 6 monsters that are always buster blader in deck.

@@NsyteIcyShadow the retrain could have had the "treated as buster blader in the hand" clause added on. It would still be buster blader in deck, so you could still run 4-6 "buster blader" copies in a build. The demise/oblivion retrains have the same clause i believe (they also feel like konami purposedully crippled them, but for different reasons). So many small things just add up to make this archetype _far_ worse than it should be.

Reminds me. I still want them to start making more creative Dark Magician Fusions (And no I don't mean Blue-Eyes. That's the most low hanging fruit of them all. I'd rather get a Dragon Master Knight redux instead) Like (As I've already mentioned) a Summoned Skull Fusion which I would call Dark Shaman or Necromancer (Design taking inspiration from Overload protagonist Ainz Ol Gown. Sorry if I got the name wrong)

You should also be running 1-2 wizard buster since a lot of decks rely on the gy.and 3 of the fusion card bc it’s the decks built in super poly,and 3x buster dragon

With the new expansion and even now you can pair buster blader with branded pretty easily

Interesting, you run a Robot Buster in your deck, which is rare air in this deck. Then again, I run a Wizard Buster to lock away Graveyard effects, so it makes more sense IMO. Thanks for this, needed the idea to upgrade my deck.

Myself I run 3x whelp,3x buster dragon 1 wizard buster,1 robot buster

You should consider judgement rebirth and turn your opponents gy in dragons for some insane atk power.

Hmmm what about a king of the swamp engines and wouldn't it also count as "Buster Blader" and also allow for guardian Chimera .

I've got one question : it is possible to add the dark paladin to this deck (and the dark magician too) and if it is yes, which card can I replace with him ?

Yes You can add them, I also play dark flare knight you only need to add one dark magician and a king of the swamp

If you're not worried about a super-competitive meta, drop the Ash Blossoms for a DM and either two King of the Swamp or two The Dark - Hex Sealed Fusion.

This deck is illegal now. Lmao. Monster reborn, where arf thou and foolish burial are limited so you can only have one of those cards in your deck. I personally run monster reborn, I got rid of foolish burial as I have spell cards that discard a card for cost so I can always send a buster to the graveyard and I use Witch of the Black Forest to bring my Whelp to my hand.

Not going to lye I don't think this is that good of a buster bladder deck. I have a pretty great one I'm trying to improve so I'm looking at other people's builds and I can honestly say I don't think I'll use anything from this... Maybe I'll bump up the sword to two but definitely not 3
