My Buy's From Stamford Train Exhibition .. Cavalex 100 Ton TEA Tankers and HAA Coal hoppers MGR

This is a little video about a 'couple' of wagons that I brought from Stamford Train Exhibition. This was an incredible two days of amazing layouts and amazing trade stands. The two trade stands in question were TTC Dicast and Trains 4 U which so happened to have what I was after. Having a train plan is something that I wrote out to 'reduce' the amount of spending I do. lol.
The freight trains that I wanted to start and complete was the 100 ton TEA tanker train (I already had 23 Revolution Trains tankers) and a HAA coal hopper train (MGR)
I found TTC Dicast to have not 1 but 5 Cavalex 100 ton TEA Tankers (most of them weathered and second hand) They also had a packet of new Accurascale HBA's......so thank you very much.
Trains 4 U had amazing array of stock for sale, the wagon that caught my eye were the Cavalex HAA, HBA etc.....so 5 wagons on the first day and then to try and finish off I decided to buy 10 more......what can I say.

Cavalex HAA etc MGR wagons (singles) £25 each
Accurascale 1 pack of 3 £75
This was an in credible two days and everyone was really friendly and always willing to help.

What a fantastic selection of wagons you purchased. Regarding the coal hoppers, I have heard that the Cavalex version is more accurate. Something to do with wheel arches? I haven't got any myself but I know that many have favoured the Cavalex version over Accurascale. It would be interesting to hear your view on this.

Ya I have heard that as well. On one of the makes wagon the end tapers in more which is different to the other make. But to be brutally honest they are both stunning models and I wouldn't turn down owning any of the makes. It's just take your pick, and not to forget that the Cavalex models were about £10/15 more that the Accurascale models. I will do a more indepth unboxing and more importantly running altogether as a coal train. And speaking of together I don't think the average person will notice any difference. Like I say they are both amazing models. Which do you prefer? 👍👍
