@@cactusjoe I have successfully crossed T.Triglochadiatus with T.Grandiflorus! None of my family besides my son and I are into cactus, but we had to share the good news with anyone who may care to know... There is a new cactus in New Mexico, USA. If it looks interesting, I would be happy to share the seeds... If it looks just like another Grandiflorus, perhaps I will just keep it to myself. I am making a video on it, but will not post it until the seeds have been sown!!!

Thank you for this Spring tour through your greenhouse, it was a treat to watch! 👍🏻 You really have so many beautiful species in your collection, one prettier than the other 😄😉 The blooming Turbinicarpi are a real eye-catcher. Recently, I struggled with fungus gnats (first had to google the english word for Trauermücken😆) on my Spathiphyllum. Probably, they were already in the soil I repotted the plant in. I bought these sticky yellow cards now - I suppose you know what I mean - and hope that they will disappear soon 😅 Because apart from these annoying little flies, the plant is really thriving and developing flower after flower. Apart from that, I once again had to make the experience that cacti from the Baumarkt (OBI) are no good. Recently, I purchased a little Astrophytum ornatum there. But soon after repotting, the stem started to become brownish at the base. And also the roots didn't develop in any way even after weeks, so I eventually sadly had to throw it away 🫤 Up to this time, I already spray-watered the cacti two times but now have to wait with the next watering because of this cold and dark weather. Hey Jacob! Thanks for all your interesting updates, I really hope that you can get rid of your Trauermücken pests 😉😅 again very quickly! The good news is that they can indeed be caught and removed quite easily with the yellow sticky cards (Gelbtafeln). Yeah, with the cacti from OBI and most other supermarket nurseries, I know exactly how you feel...I only very rarely buy any cacti there...and only if it is 100% healthy looking and can be repotted immediately! Thanks so much for watching and I'm really happy that you enjoyed all the plants in my greenhouse collection. The one you are asking about is a F. macrodiscus ...this species in my view is one of the most beautiful Ferocactus and it also already blooms at relatively young age. Hi there! Many thanks for your truly wonderful feedback and comments! Really awesome that you are enjoying the videos on my channel, very much appreciated!! The substrate I use is a 80-90% mineral one, meaning i add only about 10-20% organic (non-mineral) components, i.e. compost soil. The (mineral) majority is a mix of pumice, lava and quarz sand, zeolite and small baked clay granules. I show the substrate and also detailed recipe in a few of my earlier videos, e.g. "Why I repot/pot during the Winter" in my Cacti 101 playlist. Hope this helps! 🙏🙏👍😊🌵🪴🌿🌵🌺🌼🌸💚😎☀️

Yep, indeed it is back to cool, rainy weather now here too, but last weekend in Bavaria we suddenly went to hot summer temperatures within a few hours (...and back, haha). Not long to go, and we may be wishing back the cool weather, as we head into what is predicted to become an extremely hot and dry summer once again in Central Europe...cactus weather lol!!!😁👍🌵🌵🌵🌺🌸🪴🌼💚😎☀️☀️

I am not absolutely sure but I think you are referring to "Cereus forbesii f. spiralis"
