My car has a fuel leak, it’s only a small fuel leak, I can’t see it dripping anywhere but there’s a strong whiff of fuel underbonnet EVERY time I lift the bonnet. Here’s how I found and fixed it.

I need help with my van it's a ford connect 2009 I had leak in the fuel pipe so replaced that and sat it at idle then is dripping under the left side it's fuel and looked and it looks like the bottom of the fuel injector rim is leaking is this the fuel injector or the copper ring u think? Thanks

I had one years ago in an old triumph on the road going to Yarmouth, stopped after smell and found that a fuel pipe had come loose from the carburettor spurting raw petrol onto the manifold, luckily it did not catch fire and managed to re-attach pipe and this lasted for the life of the car-funnily did not seem to worry about things like that in those day?

Been smelling a fuel leak in mine the last few weeks and have been investigating it. Of course I found the leak to be this, posted on a forum and then was directed here. While I would like to keep the pipe original and have it resoldered... it does seem like it's more hassle than it's worth. So doing a repair like this is a quick easy fix... But what is the longevity of this type of repair? Thanks for the good video.

What a coincidence.. I indeed have a fuel smell only at start. I'll check that. On a similar problem, as i said before, I'm trying to fix a rough idle (misfiring) and this weekend I've cleaned the injectors (all of them with good spray cloud now) and replaced the o-rings with the kit MAHLE GS33528 (regained 2L/100Km short term) and the fuel pressure regulator. Still have the rough idle, I'll do the "closed regulator" trick to rule out for good the fuel system, also did the compression test witch was half between minimum and "new" levels all cylinders. But i'm guessing it's the dreaded coils.

Hi cyd, my 08 9-3 has both front windows stuck in the up position. When I press the button, I here a click coming from both doors but no movement. Any idea of the problem/fix? Cheers
