In the original mario party you could buy minigames to play outside of the game board but you couldnt buy them with stars and there was no conversion and the stars eventually maxed out. So I'd play with my little sister and specifically not buy any stars to get as many coins as possible. It was kinda fun to see if we could beat the computers if we didnt buy stars.
