Wonder if the Palestinians birth rate superseded the Lebanonese?.
@gg_rider4 ай бұрын
@@speaktruth9313 no, Palestinians weren't there long enough for birth rates to matter. They arrived from a failed coup, Black September in Jordan. They tipped the population from majority Christian to Muslim. Govt positions were allocated by Group Identity, kinda like Critical Race Theory. PLO was attacking Israel from across the southern border, so Israel warned Lebanon and began to do retaliation. Christians in Beirut wanted PLO to stop. (Like if criminals took over your house and held you hostage while having a gunfight with cops.) PLO began fighting with Christians in Beirut, murdering Christians. Lebanese Muslim factions, instead of siding with their own country Lebanon and their Christian brothers, they took sides with the Muslims and Palestinians AGAINST their country. It's more complicated. Not all Muslims were haters. Gad and his family were rescued by members of one Muslim faction. Division and violence and death mostly came down along lines of ethnicity and religion.

I am so ashamed of how the Middle East and North Africa treated its Jewish citizens. I know that many Iraqis from my era now regret that ugly chapter in their history. jews who were ethnically cleansed from arab countries did not get any help from UNRWA.

Unlike Arab countries' treatment of Palestinian Arabs, fellow Jews welcomed them into full citizenship and a new life in Israel.

@@jon123xyz yes, that's true. israel is also taking refugees from other countries and contributed greatly to countries that underwent a natural disaster. i remember in the 90's teher was a huge earth quake in Qum, in iran , and people collected money to help, because even if the iranian regime is evil neyond belief, the thousands of people taht lost their homes need help. israel also helped turkey and sent their field hospitals, with military reservists toas far away as haiti, and the ukraine. they also helped civilians from syria and iraq during teh civil war. of course this does not mean they must give up on their own security, and so what they are doing in gaza is exemplary, as far as the caution that they show. every one that criticizes them is doing out of ignorance or a disgusting personal motive...

@@BalshazzarWastebasket are you stupid..? European was killing jews all around..if they fair..give jews their land and let the palestinian what ever their religion to stay in palestinian land.it mean european dont need to feel guilty any more..and dont need another bloodshed in palestine land more.

Mam, Sir you both outstanding humans - Chapeau for your work. I believe such people as you probably will save the humanitarian culture. It’s a pity - in my childhood my mother told me about Libanon and I always wanted to see that country. I am one of the people who understands now the mindset of islam. I have to confirm it took time I could that believe. As a 67 year old woman from a state who was involved in the holocaust I am brutally shocked about what’s now going on. I have to recognize, that in my own family I earn no understanding they deny (fortunately not my husband). Of the other side I always was deep interested in history and I knew the history is a circle - but I was too blind to see. Maybe in that case covid has a good side - because people had time to surf in the internet - so they can found you and other ones who tell us the truth. Nowhere else I would have found that - the media is lost and don’t inform seriously. Love from Austria 🇦🇹
