Hi Dean, just wanted to say this was a great accidentally comedic video! I laughed when you dropped the steering wheel, but pissed myself with those Rear springs 😂 - congrats on reaching 100K, and you totally deserve it for being an actual technical repair guy! I think the raffle is a fairly good idea, so long as it makes sense for you with the costs of setting it up of course. Raffles for reasonably priced cars should be good because you wont get one person buying 100's of tickets to win that "dream car" so it feels like everyone has a fair chance

If it would be some kind of VAG product being raffled off, no matter if it's a little Ibiza or a not-so-little R32 or Q7, I would probably get a ticket, even just to support the channel. Also, there is one other VW product with 3 isofix mounts in 2nd row, but it certainly isn't as fancy as the Q7: The Sharan. Yep, it's a minivan. But it can also tow 4000lbs, and the facelift version of the first generation (2001-2010, also referred to as SGA2) also has the absolutely indestructible 131hp ASZ-PD-TDI with the equally solid 6 gear manual in it, although that generation unfortunately also shares some of its electronics, including most of its software, with the Phaeton, unfortunately making it rather prone to wierd electrical glitches and software hiccups, such as that hideous factory car alarm randomly coming on and not shutting off again, or the power windows getting stuck (thankfully they usually do so in the closed position), so if you do buy a 2001-2010 model, better get a good VCDS cable and a copy of the wiring diagrams. You're gonna need them more than once. Otherwise, the SGA2s are probably the best in terms of reliability, but the worst when it comes to rust and electrical glitches, though they will almost never leave you stranded, even with all kinds of electrical troubles. The 2nd. generation (SGA/SA3, 2010-present) also looks half decent, and came with the 2.0TDIs, including the powerful and relatively reliable CFGC with 177hp. But if you do decide to get any Sharan, get a diesel. The VR6, V6 or the higher power TSI models might seem tempting, but, in my experience, the gassers are just not very well suited to a low-revving, torque-heavy 4400lbs minivan, and will either be unreliable due to being run WAY outside their normal RPM and torque ranges, which they might see in something like a Passat, A4 or Golf, or get horrible gas milage, and they often just don't drive that much better than their TDI equivalents. Gassers just lack the low-down torque, and 240hp at 6000RPM don't do a whole lot for this kind of vehicle, while over 300nm at only 1900RPM really gets things moving. 2200lbs minivans are the sort of thing the 1.9 and 2.0TDI were made for, and those feel right at home in there, sometimes running for 600k miles or more, with their end usually being the van around them rusting out and going to the junk.

Yes G, I would buy a ticket. People do this off facebook and just use a random wheel to generate the winner. You dont need a website for one or two cars, but that is the authentic way of doing it.

I think people would be happy to buy a ticket for the M2, but for the cheaper cars I’m not sure, but then you need to sell enough tickets to cover the cost, there are website that run these on your behalf for a fee, but saves you the hassle I just. Love the vids Dean keep them coming 😊

There are lots of cars that have all 3 rear seats with Isofix. Just not the ones you want to own! I've got 3 young kids too and run old sheds for family cars so I can have nice cars for the weekend. My last 2 family wagons have been a 2009 308 SW (high spec ones have the isofix on all seats) and a 2006 Citroen c8. Most mpvs have the 3 isofix. However I'd keep what you have and invest in a multimac for the kids.

I wouldn’t worry about the 3rd isofix. After 5yrs my kids just used a regular booster seat with a back and regularly belt.

Check the 3rd row seats. They also should have isofix points. Mine at least which is a facelift of the mk1 has it. I'm assuming yours has it too.. 😉

If I was in the market for a cheap runabout then I'd absolutely buy a handful of tickets for the Ibiza. I'm not though, so I'd pass on that one. The R32 would be tempting. I could definitely see myself buying multiple tickets at £10 (or more) each for the RS6 once you've get it sorted. I'm not in the market for an RS6, but the chance of winning one (particularly that generation) for a fraction of its value would be far too good to ignore. I've yet to win any of the car raffles I've entered, but I live in hope!

Hey fair play mate for asking the question about tickets. Personally I have bought tickets previously think it was Matt Armstrong as I liked the car an the potential second or third prizes. Also happy to support his channel. However didn't buy any for the latest evil gt competition purely because feel the dynamic of their channel has changed it seems to much money grabbing. Starting with patreon an the comps an feel channel has sold out an lost the original reasoning for starting it. But your channel I've watched since early days an love you content an you don't come across money grabbing an so down to earth.

Peugeot 5008 has 3 Isofix points in the middle row of seats and they are also top tether. This is because they are all individual seats. Any of them from 2017 onwards. Oh and the diesel will do 60 mpg easily too, I have a diesel 3008, 1.5 hdi 130 hp, plenty of power and the auto is just fabulous 8 speed Aisin electronic gearbox I know you are a VAG man but it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at one and have a drive in one.

If you want practicality for kids an MPV is what you need. Most have 3x Isofix in the back. Touran, S-Max do as we have both. Only problem is your street cred will take a nose dive!

Yes, I would buy a ticket. A lot of the cars that are being raffled by other KZbinrs are at least £5 and tend to be cars that would be expensive to keep, maintain and fix. Something a little more affordable like the Ibiza or a fiesta makes more sense and might encourage a younger audience.

You should consider use rear facing child seats. They mount on seatbelts and is the safest choice for children up to 7 years old.

I’m outside the UK but I think you could double the price of the car with tickets and give the excess to charity. I think it’s a neat way to recoup your cash and use your reach to do some good for the world and some lucky sod gets a car. Probably better with the likes of the GTIs and models with a bit of gravitas. A cash alternative would work for me though 😂

I'm sure knowing the way you conduct yourself that you would do the ticket drawer thing in a very correct way but I have a particular dislike of some channels that offer tickets for cars, this is based on the fact that most skate VERY close to the laws on fair completion laws that allow postal entries. I have highlighted this to both the ASA and Gambling Commission and they have committed to investigate. I have no problem with someone trying to enhance their income from something that they are doing as long as it does not disadvantage people in some way or even worse encourage gambling that could be a problem.

I think the raffle idea is not a bad one, but I don't know if most of your viewers are from the UK. I am not and cause of that it wouldn't make sense for me to buy one. Then there is the point of your reach. I think it is amazing what you have accomplished so far, butbdonyou have enough reach of as well making a profit of raffeling a car off. The Ibiza surly, but if it comes to a more valuable car... Maybe a little early, maybe not. Anyway, these are just my thoughts on it.
